We’ve previously documented the well-thought-out customer appreciation gifts that every 2020 Corvette Stingray Coupe buyer will receive and now thanks to CorvetteBlogger contributor Jeremy Welborn, we have the first pics of the “Speed Shape Model” that is being sent to every 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible buyer.
Like its Coupe counterpart, the HTC version of the Speed Shape Model is mounted to a plaque showing the customer’s VIN number. As Jeremy’s dad purchased his 2020 Stingray Convertible in Torch Red, the Speed Shape Model is the same color.

In addition to the Speed Shape Model, GM also sends a Thank You letter with details on how to get the most out of your Corvette ownership experience that includes details on the Corvette Owner School at Spring Mountain and the various apps and other ways to connect with Chevrolet.

Hope they still give these out when I get my 2021
Now, if only Chevrolet would do the same for the people that ordered 2020 vettes but have to place reorders for 2021 vettes because ours didn’t make the cut. I’m pretty sure that it wouldn’t be very difficult to figure out those orders.
I look forward to receiving mine in Long Beach metallic. It took almost one year from the order, but it was worth the wait. When I took delivery of my C7, I thought that was the quintessential model and could not be topped (I have been driving Corvettes since 1989) in any manner. I was mistaken! The C8 is in another dimension!
I figured that since someone cancelled and the dealer sold me mine at a mark up, I wouldn’t get my “gift and letter.” Yet they came and they are appreciated. That new Tintcoat Red Mist sure will look good on one of those color models. AF
I am also.looking forward to this GM ‘gift’. After over 14 months of waiting for our HTC, the car arrived and is awesome. I have been driving corvettes since 1964, but Chevy has outdone themselves with the current model. I have heard rumors that the c8 may be the last of the ICE Corvettes.
Article says “a gift for every purchaser of a 2020 Corvette Stingray Coupe will receive” is not quite true! Canadian customers get nothing (not even a letter) from GM for their C8 purchases!
It would be appreciated to see the thank you letter and gift for missing out on our 2020 orders and being pushed back to 2021.
