The Corvette earned a score of 8.9 out of 10 from the magazine, just below the first-place score of 9.0 for the 2020 Porsche Boxster.
U.S. News says of the Corvette: “The iconic Chevrolet Corvette, which ranks near the top of our list of luxury sports cars, comes as a coupe or hardtop convertible. Now in its eighth generation, the Corvette features a new mid-engine design for 2020 for more balanced weight distribution. Whether on the road or race track, the Corvette boasts nimble handling, precise steering, and high-energy performance via a hefty 490-horsepower 6.2-liter V8.”
We would have put more weight on this honor, had the website used a photo of an actual 2020 convertible instead of a Lime Rock Green 2014 model.
Another Chevy, the 2020 Camaro, ranked No. 15 on the list with an overall score of 7.8.
