No Pricing Yet, But 2021 Corvette Configuring Is Now Available to Chevy Dealers

Our friends at the Corvette Action Center are offering the first public look at the options associated with the 2021 Corvette as the dealer order configurator recently went live through “GM’s Global Connect via quick order.” However, no pricing is yet associated with the 2021 model year options.

We’ve done a run-through of the major changes for the Mid-Engine Corvette’s sophomore year at least three times now since the first leak of options happened back in March. Members of the Corvette Team offered a preview of the 2021 options during the Virtual NCM Bash, and then last week when an official press release offered the first look at the two new exterior colors and a bevy of stripe packages.

New exterior colors always get the ‘Corvette Nation’ excited, and those coming on the 2021 are sure to be a hit. The Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat (RPO GPH) is about the closest color we’ve had to a Candy Apple Red in since Magnetic Red/Magnetic Red II appeared around the turn of the century. The other new exterior is Silver Flare Metallic (RPO GSJ) that replaces the long-running Blade Silver Metallic which has appeared on the Corvettes since 2009.

Ordering for the 2021 model year opens officially for buyers on July 31st and we do expect the official 2021 Order Guide and price list to drop earlier that week. Until then, you can put pen to paper and configure your own 2021 Corvette just like our fathers did before there were online configurators and visualizers.

One item that has been rumored but has yet to show itself officially is the limited or special edition model known as the “Stingray R”. As someone who has written the book on Corvette Special Editions, we are dying to learn more. As 2020/2021 buyers know first hand, good things come to those who wait, so have patience grasshopper!

Last week we posted a poll asking which new 2021 Corvette feature has you the most excited and with more than 1200 responses, it’s the fact that Chevrolet has promised to keep the base MSRP the same as the 2020 models. That’s is good news but be warned that we are expecting to see a few price changes on the individual options once pricing is released.

Thanks again to the www.CorvetteActionCenter.com and their “stealthy member” for sharing the 2021 Corvette model-year configuration printouts.

  1. Interesting that neither the full-length racing stripes nor the stinger stripes are available in white.
