Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for July 12th

Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

In this week’s dispatch, Mike is back doing what he does best…making Corvette Dream come true for these happy customers. Like a 2020 Corvette that can go 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds, Mike went from 0 to 32 deliveries this week and the trucks are still are showing up with even more C8s every few days now. These are the kinds of posts that we love to see: multiple customers taking deliveries as Mike shares a bit of back story or explains the equipment list. We haven’t had a Sunday Post like this in some time, so make sure you are stretching out those scrolling fingers and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated because there are nearly 200 photos to view! ~Sometimes I believe the internet spreads the word faster than it really happens. I don’t make a habit of reading the internet but I certainly get the emails and phone calls from folks who said they read this or read that…it gets exhausting. I receive 100 emails and 50 calls…per day…every day…7 days per week. It’s all good when it’s real "stuff" but it’s the fake "stuff" that spins my wheels. George Carlin could do a whole ‘nother monologue on this and that "stuff." The C8 is the real "stuff"…the new Corvette is the star plain and simple.

This past week I had 16 deliveries on-site and another 16 off-site. Reports back are off the charts with the cornering, handling, acceleration…the list goes on and on. ~~Tom P. of Ellicott City, MD has owned a dozen Corvettes and he has bought his last 9 of them from me over the last 9 years! We are certainly more like friends than anything else as he always inquires about my son’s health etc… Last week I even got to meet his Father, a terrific man. Tom ordered a Black 2020 Z51 coupe with Red seats in his 1 LT Mid-engine Corvette. Other equipment: bright red calipers, black lug nuts, and CF painted wheels. Check out the first picture as Tom used launch control and hit 2.6 seconds for his 0-60 time!

~ Ken G. and Sandra of Georgetown, Kentucky placed their deposit for the 2020 Corvette before even taking delivery of his new 2019 Corvette GS from me. They took the 525-mile ride up to Maryland and we went to dinner. Then he traded in his Corvette that I had given a sight-unseen appraisal on a few months ago. The Corvette truckload arrived and his Corvette got checked out, filled with gas, and then they completed the paperwork/payment process. In and out swiftly and on to a seafood restaurant before they traveled the 500+ miles back to Kentucky.

~Harold C. now resides in Stony Brook, NY but the last few Corvettes he has bought from me is when he resided in the Washington DC area. Harold ordered a Long Beach Red with Adrenaline Red interior 2020 Corvette Z51 coupe. Option list includes: GT2 seats, bright red calipers, 2LT pkg, color combo override, magnetic ride control, cf painted mirrors, Engine appearance pkg, and much more!

~Jim S. or Judge Jim as I write about him received his Long Beach Red 2020 Z51 coupe to go with his 2005 C6 Convt I sold him back in the Winter of 2004/5 and his 1992 Polo Green Corvette that be bought when we first met. Jim’s garage is full of Corvettes and the only one that is missing is the Green Machine, 1967 427/435 Convt that he sold back in 1969. C4, C8, C6.

~Ricky S. of Palm Bay, Florida hopped on a quick flight to Maryland and arrived at Criswell Chevrolet right on time. Ricky factory ordered this Long Beach Red 2020 Z51 coupe with 3LT pkg and Morello Red interior. This is one stunning Corvette. The high wing spoiler arrived so Luke in service did his magic and installed it while Ricky completed the paperwork/payment process. Ricky ordered custom wheels from Italy and they will be installed down the road.

~Jon S. of Chattaroy, Washington factory ordered a Long Beach Red with a Natural dipped interior 2020 Corvette Z51 coupe. Plycar trucking has picked it up and its being enclosed ship the 2,500 miles from Criswell to Jon’s home to arrive this coming week.

~Robert T. of Appleton, Wisconsin factory ordered this stunning Torch Red 2020 Corvette Z51 coupe with Adrenaline Red seats. Plycar trucking picked it up and it is headed to Roberts driveway 870 miles from Criswell Chevrolet.

~Judy and John D. Of Gaithersburg, Maryland placed their order for Judy’s new Corvette as her birthday gift! Arctic White 2020 Stingray with Black seats, red stitching, and Red seat belts look great with the black wheels and red calipers. John wrote to me when he got home and said that Judy was grinning ear to ear when she stepped out! The thrill is Back was her quote. They have owned a dozen Corvettes but the last one was a 1999 model year.

~Larry O. of Winchester, Virginia factory ordered his Limerock green 2014 Convt for museum delivery, and this time he ordered his Zeus bronze 2020 Z51 to be picked up at Criswell. We’ve enjoyed a great Corvette friendship over the years. At one point Larry owned at least one Corvette from each generation but he just sold his 1978 Pace Car. I’ve visited Larry’s garage and it’s incredible! Looking forward to a return tour!

Steve M. of Huntsville, Alabama factory ordered a Blade Silver 2020 Corvette with Red interior. Plycar trucking picked it up on Thursday and it arrived Friday morning! A mere 700 miles to Steve’s home and happy as can be.

~Lon S. of Waterbury, Connecticut factory ordered a stunning color combo, Blade Silver with Adrenaline Red interior on his 2020 Corvette Z51 coupe. Lon hired a local friend to haul it the 330 miles North via the enclosed trailer.

~Kevin R. of Chester, Maryland factory ordered a Black with cool gray interior 2020 Corvette. He needed to be in and out fast so he could get back to work…world record time through the paperwork/payment/ delivery process! He was at Criswell for just 18 minutes!! It was my day off but I knew he couldn’t wait another day and I couldn’t blame him. The Midnight gray full-length stripes look great on this color combo as does the Yellow seat belts and yellow brake calipers.

~Bob F. of Allentown, Pennsylvania and I first met several years ago at Corvettes of Carlisle. Bob and his wife Robin traded in their 2015 Corvette that I had given a sight-unseen quote a few months ago. The paperwork/payment process was done via fed ex and today he and Robin drove down to turn in his Corvette. Plycar Trucking was hired by Bob to safely transport his new Zeus Bronze 2020 Corvette the 300 miles to their home. The Optional Performance Pewter wheels look fantastic and our mechanic boxed up his standard set of wheels which tucked in nicely in Robin’s Volvo. Check out the Natural interior with the Red seat belts and Red calipers. Bob and Robin gifted me with a box of Pro V1 golf balls and a beautiful hand made card.

~Chris R. of Valley Stream, NY factory ordered his 2nd Corvette from me. Chris chose Torch Red paint for his 2020 Corvette. Adrenaline Red seats match perfectly with the bright Red calipers! His brother Justin took the 4-hour ride down from Long Island this morning and helped him out installing the Quick travel Expel kit on the nose. Chris emailed me and was crazy over the moon for his C8 experience. Chris was even kind enough to allow a Corvette customer of mine to sit inside it before he left for his trip back North.

~Charles M. of Temple, Pennsylvania has now ordered 3 Corvettes from me and his whole extended family has bought quite an array of vehicles from me as well. Charles ordered a Limerock Green 2014 Convt and then traded that in on the 2016 Z06 and today he had his sons do his light work for trading in the Z06 that I had given him a sight-unseen value. We did the paperwork/payment process via Fed Ex and today the sons did the exchange. Tim is my golf partner at the Golf Club and he brought his two kids and Chaz brought his wife Jen. In a collective effort, Charles ordered Zeus Bronze with the Black interior on his 2020 Z51…check out the Carbon Flash full-length stripes!!

~Robert and Shirley L. of Fountain Hills, Arizona factory ordered an Elkhart Lake Blue 2020 Corvette coupe with Sky cool gray interior. I set up their Corvette for courtesy delivery to their local Chevrolet dealer in Phoenix. Shirley and Robert frequent my longtime childhood friends Bagel shop in Fountain Hills!
