Corvettes for Sale: 2010 Callaway SC606 Grand Sport Development Car with 275K Miles

Would you pay $49,000 for a Corvette with 275,000 miles?

Perhaps if it happens to be this 2010 Callaway SC606 Grand Sport Corvette Development Car that has paved the way for the legendary special car manufacturer to offer high-performance parts for other customers.

After all, Callaway doesn’t just throw a few parts together and start selling a package to up the performance of cars like the Corvette without lots of research. The company naturally takes the task of developing such systems seriously, and that’s why it has racked up 275,000 miles on this car, all in an impressive effort to make sure it’s as effective and durable as possible.

Billed as the first supercharged Grand Sport, this particular Grand Sport has led a glamorous life as it has been used extensively for promotional campaigns and web and marketing materials.

All the while, Callaway has meticulously maintained the car, not surprising since the company’s reputation is on the line with every mile down the road. It does show some minor wear, what with having covered nearly 300,000 miles and all, and while every used car is a crapshoot, the new owner will have the knowledge that Callaway has taken care of it every day along that long journey.

The car, coated in Crystal Red Metallic, left Bowling Green with the fancy 3LT trim, along with a 6.2-liter engine, 6-speed manual transmission, heavy-duty cooling, power and heated seats, and head-up display.

Callaway added its SC606 package that includes a TVS2300 supercharger, liquid to air intercooler, upgraded fuel injectors, Callaway intake, free-flow exhaust, bucket seats, Callaway designed full-aero package, short-throw shifter, suspension package, and Callaway badging.

We could see this car being popular at the 2050 Barrett Jackson Auction when its illustrious history would be even more impressive.

On the other hand, with many dealers offering brand new 2019 Corvettes for less than $45,000 right now, complete with factory warranty, we might be tempted to go in that direction instead.

  1. “Dam that warranty”? Yeah, until something falls apart. Since I much prefer the C6 over the C7, I would opt for a low mileage Z06 for well under the price of a new base model C7 or the worn-out Callaway. If 505 hp isn’t enough. about $6K will get you a Edelbrock supercharger kit good for 700+ hp. Zoom Zoom.

  2. OK, FINE RON , OPT FOR A C6 Z-06, BOLT ON YOUR EDELBROCK KIT & MAKE ALL THAT EXTRA HORSEPOWER AND WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR DWINDLING WARRANTY ? YES THE Z-06 IS AN AWESOME PIECE ALL BY ITSELF.
