[VIDEO] 2020 Corvette Stingray Track Attack at Thunderhill

We can’t get enough of the 2020 Corvette Stingray and thankfully the auto mags are there to keep feeding our addiction as we go through this quiet period before production starts up in early 2020.

We followed the Road and Track crew as they tested the new Corvette at Thunderhill Raceway and especially Matt Farah’s very fun and informative One Take video in the car.

In this new video recently shared on YouTube, Road and Track’s Editor in Chief Travis Okulski is behind the wheel of the 2020 Corvette Stingray Z51 Coupe for a hot lap at Thunderhill West. Travis is a licensed club racer and it’s also his first time driving at Thunderhill, and yet he manages to take the Stingray around the circuit in a very quick 1:22.82. Perhaps more importantly, he doesn’t appear to have any issues with the car’s handling as some of the reviews have stated.

The 2020 Corvette Stingray with the Z51 package appears to be very capable on the track. The Z51 performance package adds $5K to the MSRP and it offers additional cooling and aerodynamic features combined with a performance suspension and other race-inspired upgrades. The package adds the NPP Performance Exhaust which boosts the LT2 output to 495-hp while Michelin provides plenty of grip with the Pilot Sport 4S summer tires.
