[SPIED] More Photos of the ‘Hybrid’ C8 Corvette

On the heels of last night’s video of a ‘Hybrid’ C8 Corvette spotted driving near the GM Proving Grounds, we came across this posting of 10 images of a parked ‘Hybrid’ C8 Corvette in Ann Arbor as originally captured by @mleighto31. He does a nice walk-around capturing the car from all sides and showing these various connections and switches that protrude through the Corvette’s bodywork. We even get a glimpse into the engine compartment where we can see some additional electrical junction boxes and other plumbing.

It’s been theorized that a future C8 Corvette model will feature AWD via electrical motors to power the front wheels while the rear wheels are powered by the midship V8 engine. Rumors of a 1,000 hp C8 Corvette ZORA model could be achieved with an 800-hp V8 engine while the front-mounted electrical motors offer an additional 200 horsepower. Regardless of the exact features, this approach allows the team to take advantage of the amazing torque that electric motors provide and such a set-up could rival the acceleration of exotic sports cars costing upwards of $1 million or more.

Another hybrid C8 spotted in Ann Arbor by @mleighto31 | Possibly the next Z06 or ZR1 test mule. Some reports believe the C8Z will have AWD with assisting electric motors in the front. We shall see. Comment below and tell us what you think ?.
