[PICS] 2020 Corvette Stingray Awarded to World Series MVP Stephen Strasburg

The 115th World Series went down to the seventh game and in the end the Washington Nationals would beat the Houston Astros to take home baseball’s championship.

Chevrolet was the official sponsor of the MVP award and this year it went to Washington National’s Pitcher Stephen Strasburg. GM’s Brian Sweeney would ceremonially hand him the keys as the car will be built in early 2020.

We had some doubts on whether we would see the Corvette as the car hasn’t started production yet while the Silverado and Colorado have been offered as recent MVP awards as well.

ESPN Stats tweets that Stephen Strasburg is the first No. 1 overall pick to ever win World Series MVP, and just the third top-2 pick to win the award. He is the 3rd pitcher in MLB history to win five games in a single postseason and the first to do it without a loss.
