Friday is Drive Your Corvette to Work Day!

One of our favorite Corvette holidays is rapidly approaching as Friday, June 28th is officially recognized as “Drive Your Corvette To Work Day”.

This is the 18th anniversary of the nationwide celebration started by our friends at Mid America Motorworks.

The annual Drive Your Corvette To Work day always falls on the Friday closest to June 30th which is the day that workers completed the first 1953 Corvettes in Flint, Michigan. The idea behind the event is to have as many Corvettes on the road that day to celebrate the anniversary of the car.

On Friday, Corvette owners are urged to drive their Corvettes to work. If you’re retired or have the day off, take some time to go for a cruise in your Corvette. See other Corvettes on the road? Throw them a wave and a thumbs-up! If others at the company you work have Corvettes, make plans to park together as a group. And when you get to work, let people know you drove your Corvette, especially if it’s not your daily driver.

Take photos of your Corvette at work and post them up on social media, and make sure you share a picture of your Corvette at work on the Mid America Motorworks Corvette Facebook page. They will be sharing a collection of owners celebrating Drive Your Corvette to Work day so check back with them often for some great photos!
