[VIDEO] Paul Koerner Drops the Leaky C5 Corvette Drivetrain For a Closer Look

On Thursday we introduced a video from GM World Class Technician Paul Koerner of Key Chevrolet in Middletown, CT who had a 1999 Corvette up on the lift and saw multiple leaks from the drivetrain. As it looked like the beginning of an interesting project, we thought you might like to follow along. Today is Day 2 of the project and TheCorvetteMechanic now has the C5’s drivetrain out of the car where he can get a much better look at it. Using a sharpie, Paul examines the “problem” areas on the transmission and marks the areas where he thinks the leaks are happening. Paul shares his opinion on what caused the leaks and also discusses what the plan will be for servicing the Corvette’s transmission and rear differential.
