[PICS] Newly Revised C8 Mid-Engine Corvette Renders Show Off More Details

Yesterday in our “Five Videos to Watch” post, we offered up that really quick video of that spinning 360° white render of the C8 mid-engine Corvette from a member of the Mid Engine Corvette Forum who goes by the name of “bdsvavars”.

Yesterday he offered these updated still image renders that show a lot more detail to his earlier designs. That, and the fact that he painted it “speeding ticket” red has us wanting to take a closer look!

In these new versions, we are seeing more details on the headlights and taillights, more detail to the feature lines on the front hood, and the area behind the side intakes have been softened. The C8 here has a really nice stance although once again a designer as swapped out the C8 wheels for the split-fork wheels found on the C7 Stingrays.

For reference, here is the original 360° Render from “bdsvavars”:

Why do cars look so good on a spinning platform? Because the best views of the car come to you! Hopefully, bsdvavars will construct an updated 360° video from these new views!

His last work on the white C8 seemed to be received pretty well by Corvette enthusiasts so what’s your take on these new red C8 renders? Let us know in the comments below or head over to the MidEngineCorvetteForum.com and jump into the conversation. They are also showing a quickly-done Elkhart Lake version if blue is your color!

  1. Practically speaking it will need some relief vents somewhere front of the doors or windshield, etc. – top of fenders, maybe? All that air going in the big front intakes will need to exit somewhere, don’t you agree?

  2. Best rear so far. Not too high. First gen should have had round tail lights. Yea I’m classic.

  3. Rear looks good, headlights are wrong. You need to add more LED’s on the outside on a vertical plane.

  4. Not a fan. I don’t like Beyonce’s ass end for the exact same reason I don’t like this one…

  5. Taking very nice form. Agree with the above post regarding pressure relief from the front quarters…Give the front quarters nice air extractors on top of each quarter. Also, each rear quarter should have 2 NACA Ducts…One for rear brake cooling and the other for engine compartment cooling. NACA ducts would look way too cool and technologicially sophisticated. I hope Tadge reads this post. It’s not too late to add the NACA ducts for late 2019 production.
