Might they name their first child Zora or Tadge?

That’s one question left unanswered after Mike and Amy Green tied the knot this week in the most perfect place imaginable for a Corvette enthusiast – under the Skydome of the National Corvette Museum.

“He just kinda jokingly said, ‘How ’bout the Corvette Museum? Ha, ha, you’d never go for that, huh?’ ” Amy recalled about how the discussion for the site of their wedding went.

“I thought about it, and I was like of course we can do it there! And he, of course, looked totally shocked and excited all at the same time.”

The couple contacted the folks at the Museum, and “they were fabulous,” Mike said. “They said certainly, come on up. They thought it was an amazing idea.”

Ironically, Amy wasn’t into cars when the couple first met, but that quickly changed.

“She wasn’t a car person at first,” Mike recalled, “until she got into the Corvette. She just said, ‘You know I’ve never liked cars, but this is amazing, the sensation of speed and power, and she said, ‘I just love this car.'”

Asked Amy rhetorically with a laugh, “Why do I love Corvettes? Because that gorgeous man over there is the one that first introduced me to Corvettes, and he knows more than anybody that I’ve ever met in my life about cars, but especially Corvettes.”

Surrounded by some of the most impressive Corvettes in existence – and the person of their dreams, of course, Mike and Amy exchanged vows under the Skydome, ironically the site of the darkest day of the Museum’s history in 2014 when a sinkhole swallowed up eight of their most valuable Corvettes.

“But today will be another day worth remembering because in that same room, two hearts became one and a new beginning starts for a lucky couple surrounded by all of the cars of their dreams,” Bowling Green Daily News reporter Jordan Smith said.
