Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Dec. 11th

Each week, Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvette Stingray, Grand Sports and Z06s to his customers who come from all parts of the country to work with the nation’s top Corvette seller.

In this week’s Delivery Dispatch, Mike reminisces about some previous Corvettes that crossed his path over the years including a 1958 Corvette he appraised back in 1989. Mike offers up many new Corvette deliveries this week and his batch of throwbacks, barn find and other Corvettes total nearly 50 photos. ~As we inch closer to the Holidays I always get asked the question…"How are Corvette sales now that it’s cold and Winter is setting in?" My response has been the same for Decades…"I sell Nationwide and the Weather is pretty darn good in half the States." Now I’m not a fan of Winter because I like driving my own Corvette and playing Golf so this Season puts a crimp on me doing that but Spring will come soon enough and the Corvette orders will flow just as they have the past 39+ years I have been doing this job.

~You can tell I have been involved with Corvettes for a long time when this week I came across this picture from 1989! It’s me appraising a 1958 Corvette for a trade in on a new car!!…and then just about four years ago (2012) I went to a customers garage only two miles from Criswell and when they opened the garage it was this exact Corvette!! I said immediately that it originally was a Fuel injected 1958 Corvette. They asked how I knew so fast and I told them I had last seen this Corvette in 1989! Small world.

~and then I came across from 1979 a picture of me (in red) visiting a customer on a random Sunday at his Gas Station with his 1969 Corvette that I sold him…

~ A Forum Member from California had seen a picture of Bruce Springsteen that I had posted and I told him about a group of brothers from Pearl River, NY (and I grew up the neighboring town of Montvale, NJ) that were very good friends with Bruce. So he mailed me Bruce’s new book this past week and I thumb thru the book and there in living color is a picture of Bruce and the Three Delia brothers! I was pleasantly surprised. They were all great guys and have thought of them often. My brother was really close with them. The memories definitely flooded back as I have a ton of Bruce stories from the 70’s and 80’s.

~Frank C. From Harrisburg, PA reached out to me in 2012 to buy what he stated as his "last" Corvette…well he bought a 2013 then two 2014’s, a 2016 and 6 weeks ago he factory ordered his 5th Corvette from me. Yesterday he sent two drivers down the 100 miles to trade in his ’16 on his new ’17 Corvette Grand Sport Cpe in Sterling Blue with Two tone Gray/Black interior, 2LT Pkg, Heritage Pkg with gray fender stripes and gray full length stripe, red calipers, chrome wheels and Auto trans. Frank is now 80 years young and I await his next Corvette order!! I called him and he is beyond thrilled with his Factory ordered GS! Frank estimates this is his 20th Corvette that he has owned, and he still has a 57 Corvette that he drives most of the Summer!

~Steve S. From Parkland, Florida is a Senior Sales Mgr at the largest Lexus dealership in the Country. Steve reached out to me 10 weeks ago and factory ordered a 2017 Watkins Glen Gray Grand Sport Cpe with Comp seats, 7Spd manual trans, carbon fiber exposed weave roof, black wheels,Nav/PDR, Heritage Pkg with green hash marks and 2LT Pkg. I had it drop shipped to his local Chevrolet dealer as a Courtesy delivery.

~Stan and Virginia K. From Bondsville, Mass. flew down and drove back in style. New Stingray Z51 Convt in Shark Gray with gray top and gray interior!

~Chris L. from Pearland, Texas called me 8 weeks ago and factory ordered a 2017 Z06 in Torch Red to match his Father’s 1967 Red Corvette that he has raced for 50 years! Two weeks ago Chris did the Factory build Tour and watched his special Z06 get built and yesterday he took delivery in Texas as I had it drop shipped to his local Chevrolet dealer this week.

~Michael F. from Littelton, Colorado took Museum delivery of his 2017 Grand Sport and sent me this picture from leading the local parade.

~Chris R. of Melville, NY had his Collectors Edition shipped from Criswell to his home in Long Island so we have never met but he responded in a two part GM Survey the following letter and I thought I would share his kind words.

~This North Carolina customer traded in his Porsche Panamera for a new 2017 Arctic White Grand Sport cpe. Drove up and drove home in one day.

~Mr 3000 stopped in for his oil change. He calls himself "Mr 3000" because about 3 years ago I figured out his Corvette was my 3,000th Corvette that I had delivered.
