Corvette Museum to Raffle off 2015 Corvette Stingray Coupe and Convertible at NCM Bash

The staff at the National Corvette Museum must be some of the busiest folks in Corvette-land. This weekend, April 23-25, in addition to hosting several thousand Corvette fans from across the country at the NCM Bash, they will also be raffling off two 2015 Corvette Stingrays—a Shark Gray Coupe and an Arctic White Convertible.

The National Corvette Museum (NCM), along with the Grand Sport Registry and the ZR-1 Net Registry will be hosting the C4 Gathering on May 14-16. The 2015 Gathering will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the LT5-powered ZR-1 setting a number of new world speed records, including averaging 175 mph for 24 hours.

The Gathering is open to everyone interested in fourth generation Corvettes built between 1984 and 1996. Activities will include seminars, a special guided plant/museum tour, and a NCM Motorsports Park track day, in addition to information specific to the C4 Corvette.

Under the progressive leadership of Executive Director Wendell Strode and his enthusiastic staff of Corvette aficionados, the National Corvette Museum (NCM) has announced the creation of its new Vehicle Maintenance and Preservation Department. The new organization will be responsible for maintaining and preserving the ever-increasing number of NCM-owned vehicles. The 12 cars donated in 2013 plus the 13 cars the NCM received in 2014 bring to 62 the total number of cars now owned by the Museum.

[VIDEO] The '48 Hour Corvette' Hits the Track at the Corvette Museum's Motorsports Park

Patience is a virtue, except of course when it comes to fixing up your hot rod.

We who have restored old cars know we want everything done on our favorite ride…yesterday.

It usually doesn’t work out that way for the ordinary enthusiast, however, I’ve been working on my dad’s 1970 Impala for eight years and still don’t have it completely done.

The first Corvette to compete in a race at the National Corvette Museum’s Motorsports Park made a very good showing over the weekend.

Team Braunschweig, out of Minnesota, decided to make the trip to compete in the World Racing League’s season opener in Bowling Green on Saturday, making their No. 117 C5 the only Corvette to compete against 21 other teams in the GP1 class.
