The times, they are a changing!

That’s the first line that popped into my head this morning as we got an advance look at the pricing schedule for the 2024 Corvettes. Specifically, our eyes slightly bulged as we read that R8C Deliveries at the National Corvette Museum are going up 50% and will now be priced at $1,495.

This isn’t really a surprise that the R8C program is going to cost more as there is a lot of value that you get when picking up your Corvette at the NCM. Customers pick up their Corvettes that are displayed on the Corvette Boulevard, and they get some great one-on-one time with their NCM Host to really learn all the functions about the car. Owners also receive a personalized plaque, and a tour of the assembly plant and the Museum are also included. A professional photographer is also on hand to capture all the moments as customers pick up their dream cars.

Chevrolet had previously offered R8C Museum Delivery for $490 back in the C6 days and it was increased to $990 for the start of the C7 generation in 2014. It got a $5 bump in price to $995 for the start of the C8 models in 2020.

Buyers who select the R8C Museum delivery still also must pay the regular delivery charge of $1,395. That means with the price increase the total delivery cost is $2,890.

Chevy MyWay offered a presentation on the R8C Museum Delivery Program and you can watch it here:

  1. On a 2024 build list and was going to do the museum delivery. On top of the increased delivery and now a ridiculous museum delivery charge, ABSOLUTELY NOT !!!!!!!

  2. Now this is getting out of hand. I loved my museum delivery with my 2021 convertible and also had the book done while car was being built. I am going to put my order in on Monday and with all the other increases, this will be the item that won’t be checked.
I hope that this won’t hurt the museum in the future, it is a fantastic experience.

  3. Complain all you want. I had a great experience for the delivery of my Z06 in May, and if the price was $1,495.00, I would still have paid it. Its more than just moving the car from the assembly plant to the museum. The whole experience was something special, at least for me anyway. With my host spending time with me, the factory tour, the accessories added by the NCM techs, it is a worthwhile experience. I recommend it to everyone.
