TITLE

We treat our Corvettes like babies.

Now this video produced by ExxonMobil takes a behind-the-scenes look at the Corvette “birthing” process, including the first bottle given to the new “infant” – full of Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil, not milk!

The video is particularly significant now because Chevrolet just produced the 600,000th Corvette filled with Mobil 1 motor oil, a feat that took 21 years to accomplish.

Mobil 1 Celebrates 20 Years as Title Sponsor of the Twelve Hours of Sebring

Endurance is definitely the name of the game when it comes to the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring – and not just on the track.

At Saturday’s 63rd annual event, for example, the title sponsor – ExxonMobil – will be celebrating some endurance of its own, observing a remarkable 20 years as title sponsor, one of the longest sponsor relationships in motorsports.

Mobil 1, of course, plays a big role for Corvettes in general and Corvette Racing in particular. All Corvettes have come from the factory filled with Mobil 1 oil for years, and that loyalty carries over to the track, too.

Mobil 1 Oil Rebates Available Now Through the End of May 2015

Since 1992, Mobil 1 motor oil has been the “factory-fill” brand of oil at the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green. And if the factory is recommending the use of Mobil 1 oil, then that’s what you should use, right?

So when we heard about this rebate offer on Mobil 1 oil and knowing that many Corvette owners like to service their own rides, we thought it would be worth sharing the news and hopefully you can save a few bucks during the process.

When Corvette Racing’s two C7.R entries take the green flag Sunday with the rest of the field in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen at Watkins Glen International, the Corvettes will again be running with Mobil 1 Oil.

ExxonMobil and Corvette Racing have just announced they’ve renewed their collaboration agreement for the 18th consecutive year, with the Mobil 1 brand again a major associate sponsor for Corvette Racing and the “Official Lubricant of Corvette Racing.”

[VIDEO] Tommy Milner Shows Off His No.4 Corvette C7.R

This week on Mobil 1’s The Grid is a video of Tommy Milner showing off his new office, the all new C7.R that made its debut earlier this year at the Rolex Daytona 24 hour. In this video, Tommy gives us a rundown of the changes from C6.R to C7.R and then he takes us into the cockpit for a tour and closer look at the racing technology that is literally at his fingertips.

Mobil 1 Continues to be Corvette Assembly Plant's Oil of Choice for Z06 and Stingray

ExxonMobil has been the Bowling Green Assembly Plant’s motor oil of choice for 21 years and on Monday the oil company announced a new agreement with General Motors for the Chevrolet Corvette. That new agreement ensures that Mobil 1 motor oil will continue flowing as the factory fill of choice for the current 2014 Corvette Stingray and the highly anticipated 2015 Corvette Z06 due out next year.

[VIDEO] Corvette Racing Tech Transfer: 60 Years of Corvette

While watching the replay of the 12 Hours of Sebring, I was glad to see Chevrolet continuing the Corvette Racing “Technology Transfer” segments which can be seen during the ESPN/ABC race broadcasts. The Technology Transfer segments highlight the transfer of racing technology from the track to the production Corvettes.

This year, Chevrolet has tapped former Corvette Racing ace turned race commentator Johnny O’Connell to introduce this year’s series of tech transfer which will take a look back at the six generations of Corvettes and many of the innovations which sprang from motorsports racing.
