I just sold a ’97 Corvette with 82,000 miles on the odometer, and I thought that was a lot.
It’s hard to imagine, though, that there’s another C5 that has way more miles than mine, in fact nearly nine times as many!
You may recall hearing about a fellow named Mark who posted a video a while back telling about his 2000 Corvette that had racked up 650,000 miles.

As the owner of a Torch Red 1997 C5 that has around 69,000 miles on the odometer, it was good to see this video that proves the durability of fifth-generation Corvettes.
A fellow named Mark says he bought his 2000 C5 new and ever since hasn’t been afraid to put it to the test, racking up an amazing total of 650,000 miles as he drives back and forth from Florida to Georgia for business purposes.

Sometimes it seems like every for sale ad you read has “low miles” written in it somewhere. That’s not the case with this 1971 Corvette coupe currently listed on Ebay. It’s spent the last 42 years with the same southern California owner and has logged a total of 522,000 miles since it was born. That’s basically the equivalent of a roundtrip visit to the moon.

One of the hallmarks of any good sized car show is the opportunity to have your car compete for an award and Corvettes at Carlisle was no different. As one of the celebrity judges (my mom is so proud!) for the 2011 show, it was my job to wander the show field and find a Corvette worthy of the “Keith’s Choice” award.
