An Admiral Blue Corvette Grand Sport Coupe with the Heritage Package was selected by Robinson Canó as his reward for being named the 2017 Ted Williams All-Star Game’s Most Valuable Player following Monday’s game in Miami. This the first Corvette to be offered to baseball’s annual All-Star game’s MVP since Mike Trout won the award (and a 2015 Corvette Stingray Convertible) in the summer of 2014.
Here’s another quick video of the 2018 Corvette ZR1 from its recent visit to the Nurburgring. The big wing supercar with its silver star-patterned wheels makes just four passes by the camera and the final pass shows the ZR1 behind a safety car.
Perhaps its the directional exhaust pipes, but the footage captured by the Aussie site PerformanceDrive.com.au also does a great job of capturing the sounds from the ZR1 in various throttle positions.
If you’ve ever wondered how NFL quarterbacks are able to connect so seamlessly with receivers on those long touchdown routes, then take a look at this video.
Last month, Green Bay Packers 24-year-old reserve quarterback Brett Hundley showed off his accuracy with his throws in the most unlikely of places – Road Atlanta.
If you’re a regular reader of CorvetteBlogger, you’ve seen a lot of our stories about the inspirational journey of former Indy racer Sam Schmidt.
This week on Jay Leno’s Garage (Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on CNBC), Jay takes us up close and personal with Schmidt in a way only a comedian like Jay can provide.
Watch and you’ll be inspired by this amazing man, who’s been a quadriplegic since 2000 after a terrifying crash at Walt Disney World Speedway at 210 mph.
Happy Monday Corvette fans!
We hope you had a great weekend and are geared up for the new week. We’re here to help make today more bearable by bringing you our nearly famous Midyear Monday photo gallery. This week we are celebrating with 51 Corvettes built between 1963-1967.
Corvettes at Carlisle is always a great event for enthusiasts.
This year it’ll be even more special as Callaway Corvettes will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of RPO B2K and the 25th anniversary of the Callaway Speedster, with an amazing collection of other Callaway Corvettes from 1987 to 2017 slated to be on hand.
The 2017 Corvettes at Carlisle will be held Aug. 24-27 at the Carlisle Pa. Fairgrounds.
If you have a Callaway Corvette, don’t miss this big event, but you need to hurry as the reunion is expected to fill up quickly, organizers say.
Be a part of the Callaway Corvette Reunion with a special Callaway parking area and an invitational display under a special display tent.
To guarantee parking with the 30th Anniversary Reunion, you need to register prior to July 24 and select the “Callaway Owners Group” as your club affiliation. Reserved parking with the group is only available through pre-registration. Space is limited.
Each Callaway participant will get a commemorative memento, but you have to pre-register under Callaway Owners Group Parking to receive it.
All Callaway Corvette owners are encouraged to attend and be a part of the celebration that will honor the camaraderie and history of Callaway ownership. For more information, contact Jodi Morrison.
Corvettes at Carlisle is billed as the world’s largest all-Corvette-themed weekend. Register your Corvette today or purchase tickets for single day or weekend access via www.CarlisleEvents.com.

Our friends from the National Corvette Museum’s NCM Insurance Agency have been our exclusive choice for protecting our personal Corvettes over the last few years. With their knowledge of Corvettes and collector car insurance, we are comforted by the fact that the team has our back and we like knowing that any commissions flow back to the NCM. But what about those cars, trucks, vehicles and other types of insurance policies that most of us need? Now you have a choice there as well!
