Corvettes for Sale: 2023 Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Convertible Still in Wrapper on BaT

If you’re the kind of person who likes to unwrap presents at Christmas, this 2023 Corvette Z06 hardtop convertible might be the perfect gift for Santa to bring down the chimney to you.

The car – still wearing its delivery cover and factory plastic over the seats – is up for sale for the next two days on Bring a Trailer, where the high bid has already surpassed the MSRP of $137,340 by $1,660.

But like the kid who unwraps a gift to get a sneak peek and then carefully rewraps it to fool his parents, the cover has been removed briefly by the selling dealer – just long enough, however, to get the car mechanically prepped and inspect it closely to make sure there was no delivery damage.

Since the car is being auctioned off by a Chevy dealer, it doesn’t have a title and is being offered with its Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin, which means the standard 3 year/36,000 mile warranty will still be in effect (though the buyer must keep the Z06 for at least six months or the warranty will be null and void for subsequent owners). As for the particulars on this car, you don’t really need to see it uncovered to know what you’re getting since it’s an ordinary 70th Anniversary Edition with White Pearl Metallic Tricoat paint over a Ceramic White and black leather interior.

The $9,795 worth of options added to the base price of $126,150 include $4,500 for the 70th Anniversary Special Edition package that comes with torch red seat belts, carbon fiber and sueded, microfiber wrapped steering, red-painted calipers, Spider Graphic Aluminum Wheels with red stripe (20s in the front and 21s in the rear), rear fascia and roof storage protector in black with crossed flag logo, and 70th Anniversary badging and wheel caps.

The only other options are the $2,595 front lift and the $100 battery protection package, with the gas guzzler tax accounting for the other $2,600.

This 3LZ model also includes lots of other nice features like Tremec TR-9080 eight-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, Brembo brakes, Magnetic Selective Ride Control, power-retractable hardtop, heated and ventilated power bucket seats, upgraded 14-speaker Bose sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, front and rear cameras, and touchscreen infotainment system.

Of course, the biggest reason everyone wants a Z06 these days is lurking in the engine bay behind the occupants of the car: the 5.5-liter LT6 flat-plane crank V8 monster that pumps out 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.

By the way, the selling dealer says that the car must be sold and registered in the U.S., and a broker, wholesale dealer, or retailer dealer can’t buy it.

“We will give the successful bidder the option of receiving the car as shown in the auction or having us remove the cover and completely detail it prior to delivery,” the seller comments on the listing.

What would you do – unwrap it yourself or let the dealer do it?

  1. Cheaper than the Carbon Flash 70th. my dealer wanted at $75,000 over. I stayed with my Z51 HTC on order at $104,000 MSRP and am glad I did. I’m not a fan of the sound of the flat plane crank.I’m an old school gear head. How fast do you really need to go?
