1964 Riverside Red Corvette Convertible

TB in Montana submitted this 1964 Corvette Convertible to Corvette Values:

1964 Corvette Convertible, VIN 40867S109XXX. Powered by a NOM 350 ci engine. Believed to be an ex-365 hp car as Tach redline is 6,500. 4-speed transmission with Hurst shifter, 68,500 original miles. Exterior is Riverside Red with Red leather interior and is in excellent condition. Corvette’s mechanicals, exterior paint and chrome are in average driver condition. Options include power brakes, factory hard-top and aftermarket wheels. No documentation, but owner history and receipts back to 1983 are available.

Wicked 1963 Corvette Grand Sport Recreation

I don’t refer to many Corvettes as “wicked” but I was flipping through eBay’s Corvette listings tonight and this serious-looking 1963 Corvette Grand Sport recreation caught my eye. Painted Silver with a Black stripe, the Grand Sport’s coupe body just rocks. Under the hood rocks too with a Chevrolet 464 crate engine mated to a 6-speed transmission.

Stolen 1965 Corvette Recovered after 39 Years

Chance Mayfield walked out of the Broadway Barn honky-tonk in Nashville on a night in November 1970 and found that his Nassau Blue 1965 Corvette Convertible had been stolen. The Corvette was worth about $2,200 at the time of the theft. With no insurance, Mayfield thought the Corvette was gone forever. Fast forward to this summer when a Detective from the Scottsdale Arizona police department called Mayfield to tell him they located the classic sting ray after a routine inspection revealed the stolen car.

1967 Corvette Original Kelsey Hayes Bolt-on Wheels

While rally wheels were standard equipment on the 1967 Corvette, there was an optional wheel offered for the final year of the Sting Ray. RPO N89 was designated as “Cast Aluminum Bolt-on Wheels” and 720 buyers selected the pricey option, adding an additional $263.30 to the invoice. Fast forward 40-some years and now an original set of Kelsey Hayes sells for big bucks. How big? How about $20,000!
