Congratulations go out to Edward Ammon, a retired police officer from Louisville, KY, who won the grand prize of a Nassau Blue 1965 Corvette Sting Ray in the 31st Annual Saint Bernard Catholic Church’s Classic Corvette Giveaway. The winning ticket and two runner-up prizes were selected during the annual Summer Social event on August 17th.
Edward visited the Rockport, IN. church this past weekend to pick up his new Corvette which is valued at over $64,000.
The Classic Corvette Giveaway is a pure volunteer effort that featured 15,000 tickets for sale. The annual raffle provides much-needed funds for the Kindergarten-8th grade Saint Bernard school for supporting school operations, student activities and events.
Edward has been supporting the Classic Corvette Giveaway for years and one of the four tickets he purchased was pulled as the winner.
The grand prize Corvette features a 327-300 hp V8 coupled to the manual 4-speed transmission. It’s a number’s matching Corvette in show condition with 26,350 original miles. Beautifully restored with the original color combination of Nassau Blue paint, white interior, and white soft top. Options include power steering, factory side exhaust, SS brakes, AM/FM radio, K.O. aluminum wheels and white stripe radials.
The 32nd Annual Classic Corvette Giveaway will begin in January 2020.
