[VIDEO] New Apple+ Series Stars Colin Farrell and a 1966 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible

Do you ever look at the all the choices of channels and apps we have for streaming tv and wonder, where are all the Corvettes?

We previously shared a very cool scene from the Apple TV+ series “For All Mankind” which features a group of NASA astronauts racing their classic midyears and early 70s-era Corvettes. Now a new series from Apple TV+ is also putting its main character behind the wheel of America’s Favorite Sports Car.

The new series debuts on Friday, April 5th called “Sugar” which stars Colin Farrell as a Los Angeles-based private detective whose specialty is finding missing persons and reuniting them with family. We recently watched the trailer for the new series which shows his character ‘John Sugar’ driving a classic Sting Ray Convertible!

Colin was doing some PR work for the new series and when asked about driving the Corvette, he replied “I loved it, I had such fun. Anytime we had to shoot a scene in the car, I was thrilled.

He continues, “Often now, you know, they use the, I don’t know what the technical terms that the light systems, now we did a little bit of that for this, but we did a lot of practical driving around the streets of LA at night, during the day, and it’s just always exciting when you’re…when you’re sticking a camera onto a car, you’re on the back of a truck, or there’s a truck in front of you with two cameras and you’re following that truck and going lane to lane. I get a bit of a kid in a Sweet Shop, do you know what I mean? I get very excited…that car was also a character in the film.

As for his co-star, the Corvette in the trailer appears to be a 1966 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible in Nassau Blue with a White interior, knock-off wheels, and gold stripe tires. Based on the hood design, there’s probably a 327-ci V8 lurking under it.

As for the series, the plot description says that John Sugar is an American private investigator on the heels of the mysterious disappearance of Olivia Siegel, the beloved granddaughter of legendary Hollywood producer Jonathan Siegel. As Sugar tries to determine what happened to Olivia, he will also unearth Siegel family secrets; some very recent, others long-buried.

Check out the trailer here as this show looks to be pretty good!
