[SPIED] C8 Mid-Engine Corvette Prototype Does a Quiet Drive-By

A reader of Carscoops was in the right place at the right time to spot a group of C8 Mid-Engine Corvette prototypes that we assume are being tested somewhere out west.

Previous testing put the engineers in the Breckenridge, CO area and judging by some of the elevation seen in the photo gallery, they could be in the same area.

The video on the page shows a C8 Mid-Engine Corvette prototype driving at low speed. The video is just nine seconds long but at least we get to hear it. As the car drives past the photographer, the low rumble from what we assume to be a 6.2L naturally-aspirated V8 powerplant makes itself heard.
