[VIDEO] Another Look at George Talley's Stolen, Recovered and Now Restored 1979 Corvette

Last week at the GM Heritage Center, Detroit resident George Talley got the first look at his restored 1979 Corvette after General Motors graciously went to work on the car for the veteran in advance of this year’s Woodward Dream Cruise.

The Corvette will be part of Chevrolet’s display at the Woodward Dream Cruise, which is officially billed as the world’s largest automotive event.

We’ve been following the saga of George’s 1979 Corvette ever since the story of his Corvette, stolen 34 years ago, showed up in Mississippi last year. GM’s Mark Reuss saw the news reports and offered to bring the car back home, were the keys were handed back over to the Detroit native.

Chevrolet has recapped the story in this video:

The gesture by GM and Mark Reuss is very much appreciated by the Corvette community and we hope that George finally gets to enjoy his new Corvette that he bought so many years ago.
