Here’s a good look at the C8 mid-engine Corvette from a member of Simply Corvettes on Facebook who posted five photos of the car yesterday afternoon o the group’s page.

The next generation ‘Vette was spotted traveling northbound on US 23 about 10 miles south of Flint according to David McDade who captured the solitary prototype and shared the photos online:

Many Corvette enthusiasts know Jim Mero as the man who test drove new Corvettes on the Nurburgring. As the Corvette team’s engineer for ride and handling, Mero was instrumental in developing 13 different chassis packages for the C6 and C7 Corvettes that were tested at the “Green Hell”.

Mero retired in 2018 after 34 years at GM and now the civilian has hung out his shingle and is offering to share his knowledge and expertise in improving the ride and handling of 2009-2013 Corvettes.

[VIDEO] Paul Koerner Drops the Leaky C5 Corvette Drivetrain For a Closer Look


Last week we were enjoying a series of quick videos from GM World Class Technician Paul Koerner of Key Chevrolet in Middletown, CT that featured a 1999 Corvette with telltale signs of leaking from the transmission and rear differential.

Last week saw Paul on Day 1 do a visual inspection of the drivetrain from the lift and then on Day 2 the transmission and differential was removed for a closer inspection.

Paul continued the project over the weekend with disassembly of the rear differential and the good news is that it’s in good working order. But not is all that it should be and once again Paul’s experienced eye spots it right away and he shares what he sees.
