[VIDEO] Paul Koerner Evaluates the Disassembled Transmission from the Leaky C5 Corvette Drivetrain

Over the last few days we’ve been following the exploits of GM World Class Technician Paul Koerner of Key Chevrolet in Middletown, CT., who has been up to his elbows in this leaky drivetrain on a 1999 C5 Corvette.

Here’s a quick recap if you’re just tuning in:

• Day 1 – Visual inspection of the C5’s drivetrain.
• Day 2 – The transmission and differential was removed for a closer inspection.
• Day 3 – Paul goes through the disassembled differential.

Day 4 sees TheCorvetteMechanic inside the T56 transmission which has been disassembled and cleaned. Paul shares what he looks for in regards to wear on the teeth of the disassembled transmission. The good news again is that everything looks good for the owner and other than the seals, no major components will be replaced.
