Corvette Racing debuted the No. 63 C8.R this past weekend at the 2020 Lone Star Le Mans in Austin, Texas. The Circuit of the Americas hosted the FIA World Endurance Championship’s six-hour endurance race from 2013 to 2017 with the race being held again this year after a three-year hiatus. Corvette Racing fans from Texas and surrounding states showed up in force to celebrate the return of Corvette Racing drivers Jan Magnussen and Mike “Rocky” Rockenfeller.
The National Corvette Museum has recently begun offering two new methods for passing museum membership on to the next generation of Corvette enthusiasts. The Next Generation Membership and Lifetime Legacy program make it easy to transfer your passion for the car and the hobby over to younger Corvette fans.

Oh ZR1, how quickly we have forgotten you and moved on to the C8. But then comes along a video like this that reminds us that even with an engine upfront, you are still one of our favorites!

Chevrolet hosted a group of writers from Mexico for the 2020 Corvette Stingray’s First Drive event and from that, we’ve learned a bit more about the pricing and availability for the Mexican market.

The first official photo of the Right Hand Drive 2020 Corvette Stingray was just released by Chevrolet. The stunning photo reveals a 3LT Two-Tone Natural interior including GT2 seats with Suede Inserts and a Suede Steering Wheel.
The 2020 Corvette Stingray is the most technologically-advanced Corvette in the 67 years of the model. And because we are living in the new roaring ’20s where everything is captured on camera, much of the new technology is centered around watching and recording the surroundings around the vehicle.
One of the interesting stats we learned from Corvette’s Product and Marketing Manager Harlan Charles is that depending on your options, the 2020 Corvette Stingray could have up to five cameras available for the driver. That’s five cameras to keep your Corvette safe, alert the driver for impending obstacles, and of course, record those Corvette Hero moments on the track (or around town!)

Here is the third and final extended B-roll video from Chevrolet that shows the 2020 Corvette Stingray Z51 Coupe driving down the Las Vegas Strip at night. As this is B-roll and for use in other productions, there is no sound. (However, I am listening to Highway to Hell by ACDC as I publish this post and the song totally goes with the video!)
When we had our chance to drive the 2020 Corvette Stingray, our route began on the Las Vegas Strip as we made our way out of the Cosmopolitan hotel and down the road to I-15. I can imagine the looks this car got as it was cruising Las Vegas Boulevard while soaking in the reflection of the neon lights.

Hope you all had a great weekend! After coming off the major high of driving the 2020 Corvette Stingray in Las Vegas as part of Chevrolet’s First Drive event, I attended the NCRS Winter Regional held in conjunction with Carlisle Events’ Winter Autofest as the Sun ‘n Fun complex in Lakeland, Florida.
I love driving my 1966 Corvette to this event and parking in the show field (which is rare as I usually have to travel far away for the big shows). Unfortunately, just days before the show, I found the contents of the radiator on the floor of the garage. Not good!
So I got to deal with that soon. As a friend said, sounds like an opportunity to get in there and do some more work as well. Maybe…
As we continue to digest all the new information that came out of last week’s First Drive Event with the 2020 Corvette Stingrays in Las Vegas, there is a new “Mode” to discuss that most Corvette enthusiasts have never heard of.
