The National Corvette Museum has recently begun offering two new methods for passing museum membership on to the next generation of Corvette enthusiasts. The Next Generation Membership and Lifetime Legacy program make it easy to transfer your passion for the car and the hobby over to younger Corvette fans.

The Next Generation Membership

The Next Generation Membership is a new membership option is open to kids ages 0-18. The intent of this program is to develop children’s interest in the Corvette, the lifestyle, and the Corvette Museum. At the same time, also preserving the hobby through the NCM’s next generation of supporters and members. Funds received from the Next Generation Membership go directly to develop and enhance the educational programs at the museum.

Benefits of this program include free NCM admission, a 10% discount in the Corvette Store, a free cookie in the Corvette café, (limit 6 per year), discounts on NCM sponsored children’s programs, a membership packet featuring a Corvette toy, a quarterly email newsletter, and an annual birthday gift.

The cost of the Next Generation Membership is $400 for kids 0-9 and $200 for kids 10-18. Each fee is a one-time donation that covers the member until they turn 18.

The Lifetime Legacy Program

The Lifetime Legacy program< is exclusively for the Lifetime members of the NCM. It allows them to continue their membership through their children, grandchildren, niece, nephew, etc. For a one-time, tax-deductible donation of $1,000 per person, the lifetime member's designee is enrolled in the program. The new participant will receive a letter and membership card touting their status as a Lifetime Legacy member. The current Lifetime member will get a letter of donation for their contribution as well.

At first the membership will be in “dual status” while both the Lifetime and Lifetime Legacy members are living. The Lifetime member will continue to receive their regular benefits and the Lifetime Legacy member will receive Individual level membership benefits. When the Lifetime member passes, all their benefits will then be passed to the Lifetime Legacy member, including their name on the Lifetime wall.

It’s no secret that our Corvette hobby is aging. Thanks to the NCM we now have some more options when comes to passing our passion down to the next generation. For more information on either of these programs, please contact Bobbie Jo Lee, the NCM’s Member Relations Supervisor at [email protected], 270-467-8833.
