Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for May 9th

Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

In this week’s Delivery post, Mike queues up two more opportunities to attend Corvette Owner’s School at Spring Mountain and he shares a great pic showing the track from the air. Mike also shares a few pics of Gary Konner’s special edition Corvette tributes to his father, the late Malcolm Konner. As far as new C8 Corvette deliveries, how cool are two friends ordering and having delivered sequential 2021 Corvettes? Finally, Mike shares the news about a death in the Corvette family and dedicates today’s vintage and throwback section to Harvey Gluck who recently passed away.

~Corvettes at Carlisle in Carlisle, PA should be back at full capacity in late August if this years earlier events are any indication. Look for me with my Red Mist HTC C8 on display at the Ron Fellows Spring Mountain Tent which is on the Midway Infield next to the Corvette racing and GM tent. Only about 100,000 of my closest friends will be in attendance.

~Speaking of Spring Mountain…Both classes for October 4th/5th sold out with 18 seats in each so we opened up another class October 2nd/3rd since I will be out there on October 1st. ~Anyone watch the Kindig It Design TV Show based out of Utah, Bitchin’ Rides on Motortrend TV with Dave Kindig? He sent a cool #5,000 congrats Video and I posted it to my Corvette Furman Facebook page and its also on my corvette.furman Instagram site. Nice shout out for sure.

~A WV customer of mine and now friend scratched his itch to buy a 2nd generation Corvette a couple of years ago. Last week he won top prize at The Greenbrier in West Virginia. Really cool picture of a stunning 1964 Corvette. Congrats John!

~My former Boss and still friend, Gary Konner of Malcolm Konner Chevrolet shared some original slides of two of his Corvettes from back in the 80’s. Below are a couple of pics.

C8 Delivery section from this past week…

~Two car guys, two friends and two sequentially built C8’s. I met Bob T. of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Henry A. of Byron Center, Michigan almost two years ago in Carlisle,PA on the Corvettes at Carlisle Fairgrounds. They asked a load of good questions and I supplied rapid fire answers. Only as the days went on did they share the contents of their car collection. Some time went by and they called me to start C8 deal folders. When allocations came up I had to hustle before Shadow Gray metallic was removed from the paint pallet . Bob has owned 11 Corvettes and his new 2021 Corvette Z51 is his 4th new Corvette that he has purchased. Henry has owned 12 Corvettes but this is his very first new Corvette. They drove in last night with their friend Junior and Bob’s son in law Dan. Before checking in they stopped by Criswell and Luke the lead Corvette mechanic and Jason the GSM entertained their questions and gave them the grand tour.(I’m off Fridays) They checked in at the hotel and met me at 6pm as planned at the local Firebirds for dinner. Corvette talk all evening and a terrific dinner was devoured.

This Saturday morning I was at Criswell by 6:45am and they arrived at 8:30. I gave each a tutorial on their respective C8’s after they completed the paperwork/payment process. They hit the road within the hour for their 660 mile ride home. Enjoy the pictures, all 4 said they wish they could visit every weekend as it was the perfect car guys two days. I will see them at Carlisle, PA in August and October at Spring Mountain racetrack in Pahrump, Nevada. I signed their brochures and included their respective vins , Bob’s #110983 and Henry’s #110982 Thanks for the bag of goodies guys!!

Talk about a great delivery…times two.

~Kent K. of Elma, Washington is a mere 2,850 miles away from Criswell Chevrolet but that did not deter him from ordering his Sebring Orange 2021 Z51 coupe from me. I had arranged a courtesy delivery at his semi-local Chevrolet dealer in Sublimity, Oregon. Kent was blown away with the C8 ride vs his 1998 Viper! Here is Kent’s email…”Car is beautiful and amazing. I had no idea how far car development has come (coming from a 1998 Viper). Can’t wait to finish the break in miles and get a better feel for the powertrain. Absolutely love having a small block chevy engine again after many years without.” Kent Equipment list: 2LT pkg, GT2 buckets, cf full length stripes, body color accents, magnetic ride, cf painted wheels, Z51 pkg and much more.

~ Ken and Maureen H. of Twain Harte, California ordered a Red Mist 2021 Corvette convertible and chose the R8C museum delivery option and this week was their special delivery day. Equipment list: 3LT pkg, Black interior, red stitching, cf painted Nacelles/roof, front lift, magnetic select ride, edge red calipers, performance exhaust, and much more.

~Jay and Leesa B. of McAllister, Montana picked up their Silver Flare 2021 Corvette Z51 coupe this past week at the National Corvette museum in Bowling Green. The two tone red interior really pops with Silver Flare paint. Equipment list: 3LT pkg, red full length stripes, cf instrument panel, magnetic ride, edge red calipers, cf wheels, cf mirrors and spoiler and red seat belts.

~Eric P. of Washington, DC is now driving his 3rd Corvette that he has ordered from me here at Criswell. Eric’s new Sebring Orange 2021 Corvette Z51 Convertible has the ultra rare Tension/Twilight Blue interior…with competition sport bucket seats. Clearly a color override but it really looks good and you need to see it in person. I had heard some build numbers for 2020 and 2021 that there are 22 total built in this color combo and broken down evenly, 11 convertibles and 11 coupes. Criswell service added the high wing spoiler. Equipment list includes: cf painted nacelles/roof, 3LT pkg, front lift, C F painted wheels, and Z51 performance pkg. Eric was thrilled at delivery today and brought me a really good bottle of wine! Thank you.

**Todays Forum post is dedicated to HARVEY GLUCK, my friend and fellow Corvette enthusiast passed away this week. Miss ya buddy.** …Harvey owned approx 90 Corvettes in his lifetime but had thousands of lifetime friends…
