We’ve been hoping the organizers of the 24 Hours of Le Mans really want to see some competitive racing in the GTE-Pro class and that’s great news of the Corvette C8.Rs who are making their first appearance at the French endurance classic.
Isn’t it amazing how much we apparently already know about a car General Motors hasn’t even acknowledged exists yet?
The latest intel on the upcoming hybrid Corvette believed to be named the E-Ray comes to us today from GM Authority, who are reporting the size of the tires to be used on the car. The website also is predicting when the E-Ray will make its debut, too.

LE MANS, France (Aug. 19, 2021) – Nick Tandy set the third-fastest time in Hyperpole qualifying Thursday to put Corvette Racing’s No. 64 Mobil 1/SiriusXM Chevrolet Corvette C8.R on the second row of the GTE Pro grid for this weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.

It’s no surprise that Indycar stars Will Power and Josef Newgarden like Chevys.
After all, the Penske Racing teammates compete in Chevrolets. Still, as professionals, their driving impressions of the new mid-engine Corvette carry a lot of weight.

Bloomington Gold Charlotte is ramping up and will take place October 1st and 2nd at the Hendrick Motorsport complex in Charlotte, North Carolina.

With the C8 Corvettes Z06 now free from their heavy black camouflage, digital artists everywhere have begun to create computer renderings of how they believe the final street version will look like.
Apparently, Angelyne, the attention-seeking original celebrity persona, isn’t the only person who likes to drive pink Corvettes.
