Boy, it sure is fantastic having car shows back on the calendar once again. If you missed out on this year’s Bloomington Gold event in Indianapolis, you’ve got another shot coming up in about a month and a half. Bloomington Gold Charlotte is ramping up and will take place October 1st and 2nd at the Hendrick Motorsport complex in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In a recent email blast, the Bloomington team stated that registration for Gold Certification is near a record high. That means if you want to get your car Gold Certified yet this year, it’s time to get moving and register now.
In addition to the usual Survivor, Gold, and Benchmark judging there are plenty more reasons to make the trek to Charlotte. Attendees will be able to tour the sprawling Hendrick Heritage Center where some of the rarest and most expensive Corvettes currently reside. Many Corvettes vendors will be offering their latest wares as well. Along those lines, you’ll be able to get your hands on the latest Bloomington Gold and National Corvette Museum apparel. In addition, several local vendors will be offering jewelry, clothing, and other items.
Attendees looking to explore the area can check out the nearby Charlotte Motor Speedway and the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
Once again, Bloomington Gold Charlotte is being held in conjunction with the Queen City Corvette Club’s annual show. Their show and shine event takes place on Sunday, October 2nd. If Certification judging isn’t your thing, then this may be the show for you. Organizers are expecting around 500 total Corvettes between the 2 Corvette events.
There’s still time to register for Bloomington Gold Charlotte. Interested parties can register online here or they can call BG’s Certification Operations Manager, Beth Brucker, at 309-888-2588. To register for the Queen City Corvette show you can click here.
There’s no cost to attend the show if you don’t have a Corvette to display.
