[PICS] Here's What AI Thinks a Gathering of Corvette Owners Would Look Like

Artificial intelligence may one day really come to benefit humanity, but for now we see it as neat trick for creating student term papers or in this case, generating funny photos.

Speaking of funny photos, we came across this set on a Facebook page called Cursed AI posted by Dylan Young. Someone prompted an AI image generator to create photos of Corvette owners at a car gathering and the results are rather hilarious as the four panels show a group of white-haired gentlemen in Jorts and Hawaiian shirts with their C4 Corvettes in a Walmart parking lot. Capping off the photos are the gent’s choice of footwear which all of them were made to appear wearing white New Balance tennis shows with calf-length socks.

At first glance you might think this was a real photo taken at a Saturday morning Cars and Coffee. However, AI isn’t perfect (yet) and one of the giveaways of AI generated images can usually be seen when looking at the details. People in the background are generally shown in a warped perspective, and we see the logos on the cars aren’t quite right.

  1. Got to admit, I was a New-Balance wearing guy for years, until a changed over to Dr. Scholls. They’re more comfortable! I laughed when this became a stereotype.

  2. Not enough old fat white guys, but love the NB shoes, haircuts, and Hawaiian shirts as stereotypical – just guess we all have a herd instinct and are not so keen on being different. 🙂

  3. That’s a heck of a long hood on the Corvette to the left side of the leading picture.
    BTW, I knew it wasn’t real – I don’t wear shorts!

  5. Well my hair isn’t white just yet & I own a C7 Chevy Corvette (I did own a C4 in the past) but maybe I do have something in common with the guys in the AI pics- a love of Chevy Corvettes! I thought the pics were hilarious.

    Won’t change no matter how much my companies take in.

    I dont do Levi shorts or cutoffs though.

  10. I’ve been to more Corvette shows, Cars and Coffee and other car shows than I can could count and I don’t think I’ve ever noticed Corvette owners dressed like these nerds. I just went to the QCCC Corvette show at Hendrick Motorsports in Charlotte. There were over 600 Corvettes there and I can just about guarantee there wasn’t a single Corvette owner there dressed like that.

  12. Me seeing people make fun of these guys then tell them they were discussing what a rush it was when they landed in Normandy on DDay and you don’t have to speak German now because of them…

  13. It’s racist because there are no people of color. My C&C is half Hispanic and Indian. See a lot of hoodies with expensive shoes.

  15. Well I don’t own any New Balance sneakers or jorts, and my hair is a lot longer and only slightly gray at 71. I do own a few Hawaiin shirts, but can’t remember the last time I wore one. I usually wear T-shirts and T-shirt material sweat type pants in the summer. Sometimes shorts, but not the real short ones like in the picture. Skechers are my sneakers of choice, mainly because they carry extra wide sizes and many other brands don’t.

  17. Very disturbing, I don’t think I have ever met a Vette owner that looked like any of these guys including myself. In fact it amazes just how many younger guys and girls have Vettes. You see these guys at the car shows put on by the local clubs. I think AI is going to cause many problems.

  18. The AI needs some tweaking:
    1. Never saw anyone in jorts driving a ‘Vette. Plenty with cargoes, though.
    2. Many Corvette owners appear to be better-fed, and a higher percentage are bald.
    3. Although the proliferation of automatic transmissions may allow for those chunky shoes, at least some of these guys should be wearing shoes that would work more comfortably with a clutch…for now, anyway.

  19. Somewhat resemble. It’s a cool picture… I love it. Now I want to see what the AI fart-can car crew looks like!
