Corvettes for Sale: Haibeck-Modded 1992 Corvette ZR-1 Restomod on Craigslist

You don’t see many restomodded C4 ZR-1s—and when you do, they’re rarely this wild. This one, finished in Black Rose Metallic and packing a full Haibeck 510HP package, isn’t just a cleaned up survivor. It’s a reimagined, reengineered, full tilt Pro Touring take on the original King of the Hill.

And that explains the price.

At $53,995, this Fresno-based 1992 ZR-1 is asking far more than a typical C4—but this isn’t a typical C4. Not even close.

Marc Haibeck’s LT5 work is legendary in the ZR-1 world, and this car carries his full 510HP package—complete porting, stainless long tube headers, low back pressure exhaust, aluminum flywheel, performance calibration, and all the supporting upgrades that turn the numbers-matching LT5 into a 513 horsepower, 479 lb-ft street weapon.

Only 3,365 miles have been put on the car since the Haibeck upgrades, meaning the build is still fresh.

This isn’t a bolt on project. The car was rotisserie restored, then rebuilt with a long list of modern performance parts:

• DRM Motorsports coilovers
• Wilwood big brake kit
• No Flex frame stiffener system
• Corsa quad tip exhaust
• ZF 6-Speed Manual Transmission ML9
• Black Rose painted cam covers
• Chrome ZR-1 wheels (18″ front, 19″ rear)
• 325 series rear tires

Underneath, it’s clean enough to show with mirrors—fuel lines, brake lines, aluminum components, and frame rails all present beautifully.

The interior blends period charm with modern upgrades:

• ’95 ZR 1 power black leather bucket seats
• Carbon fiber steering wheel
• Alpine 7″ Android Auto / Apple CarPlay with backup camera
• Raceseng shift knob
• Analog/digital gauge cluster
• ZR-1 floor mats
• Saddle carpeting and clean door panels

It’s still unmistakably a C4 cockpit, but sharper, more purposeful, and far more usable.

Black Rose Metallic is one of the most underrated Corvette colors of the era, and on a wide body ZR-1 with:

• LED headlights
• Retractable lamps
• Fiberglass targa top
• Perfect body lines

…it hits even harder. We think it might be one of the sharpest C4s we’ve seen.

The dealership calls it a “menacing ride” and a “fantastic car inside and out,” and for once, the sales copy isn’t exaggerating. This is a rare restomod, built by the most respected LT5 tuner in the world, restored to show quality underneath, and upgraded everywhere it matters.

It comes with:

• Haibeck 510HP paperwork
• Original booklets
• Spare keys
• VHS tape
• Two keychains
• And yes—financing and nationwide delivery are available.

A stock C4 ZR-1 is special.

A Haibeck built, rotisserie restored, coilover equipped, Wilwood stopped, Black Rose ZR-1 is something else entirely.

If you want a C4 that stands out in any crowd—and outruns most of them—this Fresno restomod might be the one. But, do you agree with the builder’s decision to tamper with this legendary piece of Corvette history?
