[ACCIDENT] Corvette Totaled After Early Morning Roll-Over Crash in Las Vegas

A wrecker crew spent the early morning hours picking up the scattered remains of a Corvette coupe after a violent rollover crash on the 215 Beltway in Las Vegas.

According to FOX5 News, the wreck happened around 4:44 a.m. Thursday on the westbound side of the 215, just west of 5th Street. Early reports described the vehicle as “either a black Chevrolet Corvette or a Camaro,” but authorities later confirmed it was a Corvette.

Video from the scene shows the sports car mangled beyond recognition, matching the Nevada Highway Patrol’s assessment that the vehicle was completely totaled. Troopers say the driver lost control of the Corvette, which rolled several times, struck a rock embankment, and was launched 60 to 70 feet into the shoulder. Witnesses told FOX5 the Corvette appeared to be racing moments before the crash.

One adult male occupant was transported to a nearby hospital. His condition has not yet been released.
