Chevrolet opened their order books yesterday for the third round of 2027 orders, and as is the usual case, dealers got the latest list of constraints for this particular order cycle. For this go-around, there were no ZR1X or GSX allocations offered, so therefore, no constraints are listed for either of those models.

Our friend Rick Conti shared the news that dealers are able to now place pre-orders for the Corvette Grand Sport X, but he cautions that these are simply pre-orders only and there are no indications yet from Chevrolet when they will start allocations for the new model. As Chevrolet said during their Grand Sport reveal, we should see those first allocations drop sometime in June with production beginning later in the third quarter of this year.

Some good news for this order cycle is that Admiral Blue is gone from the list which means that anyone can order it and there are no limits to how many can be built. We are also seeing each model having a decent number of Pitch Gray Metallics that can be built. For ZR1 buyers, we have some more J59 brakes available for the second order cycle in a row, but they are limited to just 21 sets nationally.

In the bad news department, no Z51 Stingrays can get the normal Z51 wing, so you either have to go with the High Wing or the low-profile version. For the second order cycle in a row, we are still having availability issues with the Coupe Engine Appearance Packages. The Grand Sport has zero availability of its base 10-spoke wheels in Pearl Nickel. So, to order a Grand Sport this cycle, you must upgrade your wheel selection. And finally, Chevrolet has limited ZR1 Coupe orders to just 17 for this cycle.

We got these figures from Rick’s video and he shares the “National” number of availability for these various options for top tier dealers. Smaller dealers will have their own subset of which options are available. Because we have it here doesn’t mean dealers are free to order. As always, speak with your Chevy sales rep to see what is available for your specific order.

  1. According to my dealer here in Fort Worth the order workbench does now have a CORGSX tab but when you try to access it to build a GSX it won’t allow you to specify between a coupe or HTC so you can’t actually go any farther in the build process.
