You don’t need the newest Corvette off the assembly line to have a good time behind the wheel. Sometimes all it takes is a clean, well-kept C5 Corvette — and this 2002 Electron Blue six speed proves the point.
Just 8,553 of the 35,767 Corvettes built in Bowling Green that year left the factory with a manual transmission, making this one a relatively uncommon find. The color doesn’t hurt either: Electron Blue over Light Oak, a combination that still turns heads nearly a quarter century later.
The Craigslist listing, from a dealer in Mesa, Arizona, doesn’t offer many frills, but the essentials are there. The odometer shows 61,452 miles, a respectable figure for a 24 year old sports car, and under the hood sits the familiar 345 hp LS1, the heart of every early 2000s Corvette.
The seller describes the car as “very clean inside and out” and notes a solid list of features: power windows and locks, power seat, Bose audio, a transparent removable roof panel, and a fresh set of tires.
At $21,900, it’s a reminder that fun, engaging Corvettes still exist well below the price of the latest and greatest — and that the C5, especially in a spec like this, remains one of the best ways to get there.
