Our friend Rick ‘Corvette’ Conti was in Bowling Green for a customer’s delivery this week and he stumbled across this 2027 Corvette Grand Sport wearing the new Pitch Gray Metallic exterior. The captured test fleet vehicle was parked outside the Corvette Assembly Plant.
Rick was gracious to send us a few photos and then he did a walkaround of the car which you can see in the video below.
The new Pitch Gray looked lighter with the hood pic and the closeup of the side air intakes, but then that last photo really shows it to be darker in the sun. Much darker than I was actually expecting.
This Grand Sport is also optioned with the high polished Grand Sport wheels, an Orange Stripe, and the visible Carbon Fiber rockers and splitter. Inside is the Habanero Orange interior and Rick points out that the LS6 engine cover is Silver, which is a color we didn’t have in our recent post on LS6 engine covers.
As Rick makes his way around the Pitch Gray Grand Sport, it sort of reminds us of the Cyber Gray Metallic offered back in the C6 days. Having now seen it outside in various views, Pitch Gray Metallic appears darker in the sun and lighter in the shade, which is a complete reversal than what we are used to seeing. This is one color I am looking forward to seeing at the Bash!
In the video, Rick also captures the Admiral Blue Grand Sport parked in the director’s spot, as well as an Arctic White Grand Sport with an Admiral Blue racing stripe. Make sure you watch the video to see some of the finer details pointed out.

That Pitch Gray is a really blah color. Cyber Gray was much prettier.
Not a big fan of pitch gray. Hypersonic was much better IMO.
The Admiral Blue one is without a doubt the best looking one of the three. Love the classic Admiral Blue, white stripe and red hash mark Grand Sport look.
Very common color, 25% of the cars on the road are grey or silver. That color doesn’t do much for me.
As usual the colors seem not to inspire and sintillate, showing us the people in charge are mediocre.
Of ALL the colors in the rainbow…*meh
Sorry but I disagree with the others, I absolutely love this color! I have a 2023 z06 70th anniversary in carbon flash black, if I had this option when I ordered mine i 100% would have ordered it instead. I’m not a fan of the orange stripe though, I would have gone with blue or black
Like the Grey and Admiral Blue, would go Grey with a Red racing stripe and two toned Adrenaline red/black for interior. My question: how would the grey look with a Matte finish?
Love the Pitch Grey Metallic the red/black would look nice also the admiral blue with the blue interior is gorgeous also thanks Rick
