With Jessica Dane departing the organization, Corvette Racing has tapped an 18 year General Motors veteran to guide the program into the 2026 season.
Andrea Hidalgo, a longtime GM Motorsports and Corvette engine specialist, has been named the team’s new Program Manager. She will officially step into the role at the Roar Before the 24 and the 64th Rolex 24 At Daytona on Jan. 24–25, taking the reins just as the new racing year begins.
Hidalgo arrives with deep experience inside GM’s Performance and Racing Center, where she most recently served as Senior Race Engine Calibration, Development, and Track Support Engineer for the Corvette Z06 GT3.R program. Her work placed her trackside with TF Sport in the FIA World Endurance Championship over the past two seasons, as well as select European Le Mans Series events in 2025. She also played a key role in developing and implementing engine controls for Corvette customer teams as GM worked to meet FIA GT3 regulations.
Her résumé includes several seasons embedded with the factory Corvette Racing program during the C8.R era, contributing across multiple technical disciplines. Since joining GM in 2008—first as an intern, then as part of the production engineering team—Hidalgo has built expertise in combustion, drivability, aftertreatment, diagnostics, and transmission development.
Hidalgo holds a Master of Engineering in Global Manufacturing and Automotive Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Stony Brook University, where she was an active member of the school’s SAE Baja Motorsports team.
