Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

Today we are deviating from our usual Sunday Deliveries Post with Mike as he was out of town for much of last week for a much needed vacation while I just left for a European Vacation with my family. Mike did have a couple of deliveries that we can share and then we’ll have an abbreviated version of the vintage and throwback photos. Let us know your favorites as always!

In 1967, Neil Armstrong leased this Marina Blue Corvette from Jim Rathmann’s Chevrolet dealership, just two years before his historic Apollo 11 mission. After Armstrong exchanged it for a 1968 model, a NASA employee bought the car and stored it for decades. Third owner Joe Crosby later preserved it, returning factory-correct fenders and retaining the original 427-cubic-inch engine, four-speed manual transmission, power brakes, and paint.

This Corvette helps tell a story that spans space and street. Now, it helps drive the future of preservation at the National Corvette Museum. The paperwork/payment process was completed via Fed ex and this past week Plycar trucking loaded Paul’s Corvette for the enclosed trailer ride to his Tennessee home.
