[VIDEO] Josh Holder Provides the Corvette Update at the NCM 31st Anniversary Celebration

During the 31st Anniversary Celebration at the National Corvette Museum, Vehicle Chief Engineer Josh Holder was tapped to host the Corvette Team update which covers the latest news and more about the brand. The presentation was captured on video by the National Corvette Museum and we are pleased to share it below.

Josh takes the mic and jokes that the title of the seminar was originally called “Josh Holder & Friends…” and so when he asked “his friends” for help on stage with the presentation, all but one told him they will support him but from the back of the room. However, the one friend he did land was ZR1 development driver Brian Wallace who will take us through his entire record-setting Nürburgring lap record.

Josh also acknowledges several other friends who were in attendance, Former Corvette Product Market Manager Harlan Charles and Former Corvette Exterior Design Manager Kirk Bennion who previously would have been on stage with Josh for this presentation.

The presentation kicks off with Josh showing the latest updates with the Corvette starting with the new 2026 interior update. He says the most practical change is having a wireless phone charger that you can actually reach, as the new interior moves a wireless charging pad to where the round mode dial previously occupied. Josh also points to the new three screen layout with the addition of the new left side screen which they call the “Aux Display,” and he likes how easy that is to put the car into launch mode. The new interior colorways are also shown and the new colors, Roswell Green and Blade Silver. Josh said he recently spent time with a Roswell Green Corvette and says he hasn’t gotten that much attention in a car since driving the C8 Stingray.

Josh then dives into the new 2026 Corvette ZR1X and some of the highlights of the car. He absolutely loves the new J59 brakes with the 10-piston front calipers and the specially constructed carbon ceramic rotors that handle the heat much better. Josh also gets into why they named the car with the ZR1X versus the ZORA, and he states, “Maybe we are saving ZORA for something else,” but then he goes into how the ZR1X is an extension of the ZR1 which is why the name was chosen. He also shares some of the nuts and bolts behind the ZR1X’s hybrid powertrain.

Next up, we have Corvette development driver Brian Wallace who shares his Nürburgring lap and discusses the preparation and then execution of doing a fast lap at the Nurburgring. This is one of the highlights from the entire weekend, so if you only get to watch part of the video, scroll ahead to around the 22:00 mark where he begins his presentation.

Following that, Josh walks us through some of the latest news including the 2025 Vehicle Dependability Study from J.D.Power, Corvette winning the KBB 2025 Best Resale Value Award, and the 2025 Corvette winning most satisfying car from Consumer Reports. We also get some stats on the 2025 Corvette production which shows 25,836 units were built for the model year, as well as colors and options selected for each model.
