Our friend Mike from the Brink of Speed YouTube channel goes hands on with a new 2026 Corvette Stingray featuring the full interior refresh. The interior is where Corvette has focused its efforts for 2026 and personally we think Corvette’s designers and engineers did a great job. The changes are extensive, and while some aspects are impressive, others may leave drivers wanting more.
The most notable change is the introduction of the third “auxiliary” screen on the very left. It provides information on trip data, lane keep assist, and motion sensors, along with a customizable head-up display that adjusts based on the selected driving mode (tour, sport, or track). Launch Control is also easily accessible under the left screen’s menu selections.

Mike shows off the animations for each of the Driving Modes and dives into the customization of MyMode to show how easy it is to customize the new settings. Mike actually likes his previous animations from his 2024 E-Ray better than what he sees here.
One of the new features is the ability to access the Google Play Store from the center Infotainment screen, enabling drivers to watch movies and shows on platforms like Netflix and Prime Video while parked. If you have to wait in your Corvette for an extended time, now you can be entertained with movies and TV shows playing on your Infotainment screen.

Driver commented that new left screen partially blocked by steering wheel & window washer lever.

I have a 2026 HTC Stingray 3LT that I picked up 10 days ago. Love everything about it. Have two issues which I’m not sure can be resolved. First, the new grab handle stitching is misaligned with the rest of that area. Second, there are paint defects on the panel that covers the engine. Looks like they painted over a sticker in one area plus there are cloud spots right behind the carbon flash painted nacelles. Again, not sure anything short of a repaint will fix this and I’m not sure I should even bother.
The screens are ridiculous and will age very poorly. Should’ve stuck with timeless analog gauges and a double-DIN infotainment unit that can be easily swapped out in the future.
Oohh lots of new shiny stuff. Now whip out your check book or sign the 84 month loan documents, now sit back and watch the depreciation. New 2025s are getting really cheap. I’d consider a 2025 but no DCT problems for me.

People nowadays must expect all that zoomie tech stuff for their $100k expenditure, but give this old timer analog and a 6 speed MT for my sportscar to thrash around. Top down convertible caught in a sudden rain and the screens shoot craps like a phone – warranty fix – I doubt it.
IF the C8 ZR1 Transmission holds up then THAT’S the one I’ll save up for and purchase, because chevy probably won’t EVER put a true Manuel in the C8 Z06 which (4 me) would make it the Perfect Corvette to purchase.
Too many driver distractions in all of that. I guess if you set it up before you drive it would be fine, but changing all that on the fly might even be dangerous. Buttons? I don’t care where they are at, but it seems the passenger would have more trouble adjusting their side for comfort from their seat. I sat in a ZR1 and the screen is partially blocked from view, and I doubt the necessity of having torque readouts, just another distraction. Just drive the dang thing.

I like the easier access to launch control.
I almost was a fan of this redesign. But GM keeps prioritizing wireless charging. That space would be better used for something else.
As far as the screen on the left, I would have saved a bit of money and streamlined all of the interior trim colors with a single driver’s-side a-pillar that contains all of the requisite readouts. Instead of gauge pods like a 90’s tuner car–the entire panel can be a display. Nothing obscured behind the steering wheel or turn stalk.
I agree with the double-din sentiment. A standardized socket for the head unit would be great–and a variety of tablet screen sizes could be utilized to suit (even as a factory option). And the only difference between one car and another car from an entirely different company–could be a standardized plug connector and sub-menus for vehicle specific functions.
Everything old is new again. Vettes did the spaceship displays with the c4 As well as the Datsun 300z in the late 80’s (the Z also had a bitchin Betty voice). And everything returned to almost normal displays in the c6. Lessee, a new video arcade, but NO increase in HP, NO increase in torque, NO weight reduction. What’s a sports car improvement without those 3? Oh I get it, old guys buying their reward vette no longer have to stand in their garage with a snifter and a cohiba; NOW they can sit in their cars and watch old racecar movies like Grand Prix on Amazon Prime! I hope GM thickened the leather for all the new seat time the built-in Drive-in theater will get!
What is with guys and their egos. Bapakbob believes only older guys will like the C8 Stingray because they are finally able to afford a Stingray! I am a 74 year old WOMAN who has just ordered a C8 Stingray and having another garage built for it! I assure you I will not be sitting in it watching movies! Oh and by the way, I am paying cash for all of it. Yes, I have wanted a Corvette all my life and now it is happening!
