Imagine turning a key and unleashing the growl of a thunderous LS376/525 horsepower V8 growl that’s been carefully bred into a classic C1 Corvette.
This beautiful red-on-red roadster was a three-year labor of love for the seller’s late stepfather, who reportedly poured out more than $128,000 for parts alone.
Now, the seller is selling the car for his mother with a Bring a Trailer auction that has hit $45,000, with four days left in the bidding.
Features include a TKO600 five-speed manual transmission, 9” rear end, white convertible soft top, removable body-color hardtop, 18” and 20” aftermarket wheels, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, Holley Sniper EFI, Spectre air intake, DeWitts aluminum radiator, tubular A-arms, 2” drop spindles, front sway bar, QA1 adjustable coilovers, rack-and-pinion steering, four-link rear suspension, Vintage Air climate control, and aftermarket stereo and gauges.
Some restomods have unwieldly proportions, but we find no such problem with this example, even though the rear quarter panels have been widened.
We especially love the look of the white vinyl seats with complementary red dashboard topper, carpets, and door panels.
One potential worry, however, could be the lack of shakedown miles to get the bugs worked out as the digital odometer shows just 43 miles since the work was finished. An example would be the rattling lockout spring on the shifter that the seller says can be remedied by a light touch. The 6.2-liter LS engine was installed way back in 2020, so it’s a shame it’s been sitting unused since then.
Regardless, this ’60 would be tons of fun to drive with modern touches throughout.

Man, wouldn’t that suck. Build this awesome car, and then die before you ever got to enjoy it.
The rear end is not a 1960.
I had a 1960 and know that the rear end on a 1960 is different that the picture. Also the grill is not a 1960.
This sweet looking C1 is the Beauty and the Beast! A job well done!
