[VIDEO] The Corvette Team Presents the 2026 Corvette ZR1X at Corvettes at Carlisle

One of the most anticipated walkarounds at the 2025 Corvettes at Carlisle show in Carlisle, PA. was the Corvette Engineering Team’s presentation of the new 1,250-hp 2026 Corvette ZR1X. Two versions of the ZR1X were displayed as the model also presents many of the new options that are now available on all 2026 Corvettes.

Leading the discussion was Executive Corvette Chief Engineer Tony Roma who then handed off the details to Vehicle Chief Engineer Josh Holder and new Corvette Product Marketing Manager Austin Fisher.

The walkaround discussion took a deep dive into the Corvette ZR1X with its 1,250-hp that comes from both the 1,064-hp twin turbo V8 and the front mounted electric motor which provides 160-hp to just the front wheels. Josh says the acceleration of the Corvette ZR1X is less than 2-seconds 0-60 mph and the quarter mile is expected to come in at under 9 seconds as well. Josh says the performance numbers are still estimated as they look to squeeze every last drop of performance that they can from the new hypervette.

During Austin’s portion of the walkaround, he talked about many of the new options for the 2026 Corvette line-up including the new colors which were both on the featured cars – Roswell Green and Blade Silver – and the new packages which includes the Asymmetrical interior that offers the driver the Competition Seats in Adrenaline Red while the passenger gets a Black GT2 seat. A two-color dual racing strip brings that unique interior to the outside.
