The 2026 Corvette ZR1X may be the talk of the auto world right now.
But for the more budget-conscious enthusiast, another ZR-1 may be a better answer – and still provide plenty of thrills for a lot less dollars.
This Arctic White 1991 ZR-1, for example, is being offered by a San Bruno, California dealer for only $23,000.
It’s not your typical ZR-1, either, as it features a jazzed-up exterior with an ACI AKG470 aero kit with a gigantic ACI AWF030 wing on the back.
In the Craigslist listing, not many other details are offered about the car, one of 2,044 built in ’91, other than it has been driven just 40,846 miles and has a crack-free removable roof panel and a pretty flawless red leather interior (other than a worn spot on the driver’s seat bolster, a common problem on C4s).
ZR-1s left the factory one way: fully loaded with every luxury item on the base Corvette’s options list, including leather-trimmed six-way power sport seats, a premium multi-speaker stereo system, air conditioning, and cruise control.
Of course, the only thing that really matters about any ZR-1 is the drivetrain that includes that legendary 32-valve, double overhead cam LT5 engine that pumped out an awesome-for-the-time 375 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a mandatory six-speed manual transmission, the ZR-1 was capable of going from 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 176 mph.
How fast could you drive it into your garage?
