It’s been about six weeks since we last offered up an on-the-ground inventory report on the C8 and things have changed quite a bit since the last time we discussed those numbers. We last looked at these numbers on May 2nd and found that there were 3,255 new Corvettes on the ground. May was the fourth consecutive month of falling inventory after the high point of 6,126 Corvettes that were available in February. But now those inventory numbers have gone back up with the current total being 4,069.
Another stat we’ve been following is the remaining 2024 model year Corvettes still available. On May 2nd that number was 451 and it has since been cut in half once again to dealers having just 218 2024s listed as current inventory. We also have a breakout of remaining colors with the rarest still available being Cacti with just two units showing on the tracker.
As for the 2025 models, the Chevrolet Live Inventory page as of June 20th is now showing a total of 3,851 Corvettes which can be broken down as 1,523 Stingrays, 1,720 Z06s and 826 E-Rays. As you can see from the graph below how the Stingray inventory has dropped drastically from its high in February at 4,566 units down to 1,523 units today. That’s great news as there were just too many Stingrays out on dealer lots. By not accepting any new orders since February, Chevy have really been able to make them more manageable moving forward.
However, now we have a new wrinkle. This month is also the first time that we’ve seen Z06 inventory really start to expand with the track-focused model now being the most produced Corvette in the lineup. The Z06 is now making up 42.2% of available inventory while the Stingray is 37.4% and the E-Ray making up the following 20.3% of available inventory.
To show you how this translates at the dealer level, we pulled up the inventory of new Corvettes at both MacMulkin Corvette and Ciocca Corvette, the two largest dealers in the country. MacMulkin has 189 new Corvettes in stock led by the Z06 with 131 available, as well as 23 Stingrays and 35 E-Rays. Meanwhile, Ciocca’s inventory is a little more balanced at 29 Z06s, 32 Stingrays and 29 E-Rays for a total of 90 vehicles either on the lot or in transit.
While we were telling prospective buyers to look at the Stingray during the first half of the year, now may be the perfect time to purchase a 2025 Z06 as many dealers had to take those allocations as dealer stock and now, they are discounting them. Within the next few weeks, we’ll get the price list for the 2026s which will most likely include a price increase across the board and there may be little discounting initially on the 2026s as the new model year will offer the new interior redesign. Buy the 2025 Z06 at a discount now and use your savings for purchasing the carbon fiber aero from an aftermarket company.

Our low price comes from Reed Chevrolet and it’s a Black 1LT Corvette Stingray priced at $60,505 after available offers. On the other side of the equation, we have a 2025 Corvette E-Ray Convertible listed for $224,985 from Freeway Chevrolet. As the car is listed as in-transit, it could be they just jacked the price for inventory control on a sold order which we have seen some dealers so on sold orders in transit.

Inventory tracker very inaccurate. Have used it and three different dealers did not have or recently had the car I was looking at on inventory tracker.

Not everyone wants a Corvette that sounds like a foreign vehicle……. no matter how much faster it is.
Customers don’t have the disposable income in this economy and the uncertainty of much more inflation because of higher oil 🛢️ prices. Thank Bibi for that.
I’m a multi Corvette owner. None are C8s. And will never own one. They are beautiful cars. But nothing about them are Corvette. None of the iconic styling is in the C8. The C8 should have become another sports car for GM. But it shouldn’t have become a Corvette. I’m a true Corvette enthusiast. From the start. They were spot on with the C7. Which I plan on adding to the collection. I wish GM would do a retake of the C2 body style.
Dig dig, show them what they won Johnny! People (majority: not Elon) are BROKE and don’t have money for a >100k vehicle. Corvette (Gov. motors) have priced their product outside the market. Expect to sell these cars to the Elons of the world (0.0000001%) of the population.
Reality check… Interesting that some seem to think that a Corvette is supposed to be affordable by the majority. Sorry, but it’s always been the top of the line Chevrolet automobile, not the bottom. It’s always been a low production “specialty” car that costs a lot more than the “average person” can afford on a whim or on a minimum wage job. So, no change there. Some armchair curmudgeons don’t seem to realize it but the “market” for Corvette and it’s foreign competition changes over time. Front engine cars in this high end market are obsolete. A mid or rear engine chassis is required to provide enough traction to handle today’s much-higher horsepower engines found in the premium Corvettes. As far as a C8 not looking like a REAL Corvette, realize that GM has been making a LOT of cars called Corvettes ever since the 1953-1954 C1. Is that what you guys claiming that you have a REAL corvette want? A corvette is whatever GM makes.
