Finding a 2012 Corvette of any kind is not always easy, considering only 11,647 were built.
Finding a 2012 Z06 is even harder, since Chevy made only 478 of them.
Finding a Carlisle Blue 2012 Z06 is almost impossible, since only 12 of them ever left the Bowling Green factory in this one-year-only shade.
That makes this example being offered on Bring a Trailer the “Holy Grail” of sorts for enthusiasts who want to own such a Carlisle Blue Z06.
With five days left in the auction, the high bid has already reached $56,000 for this Z06, which includes the 2LZ package, has been driven only 8,000 miles, and carried an original MSRP of $82,895.
Besides the rare color, the car is also bolstered by the fact that a 505-horsepower 7.0-liter LS7 V8 engine resides under the hood (mated to a six-speed manual transmission), complete with an aFe air-intake system and a “very mild, nothing wild” tune by Eismann’s Corvette Center of Jupiter, Florida. If you want to return it to stock, the seller says the tune is easily reversed, “but I don’t see a need personally. The car runs fantastic!”
The $4,310 2LZ Preferred Equipment Group included dual power heated seats, power steering wheel, memory package, universal garage door transmitter, memory package, Bluetooth package, Bose CD/XM/MP3 stereo with navigation and steering wheel controls.
A laundry list of other features includes two-tone Ebony and Gray leather interior, head-up display, chrome spider wheels, red brake calipers, center console-mounted USB and auxiliary inputs, Dual Mode Exhaust, dry-sump oil system, HID headlights, side airbags, dual zone electronic climate control, fog lamps, keyless entry and start, power windows, power locks, power steering, power brakes, power mirrors, cruise control, ABS, traction control, and Active Handling.
If all that isn’t enough for you, keep in mind that all Carlisle Blue Corvettes receive free admission at Corvettes of Carlisle, the world’s largest Corvette car show.
By the way, that Carlisle Blue paint has PPF on the front end and has been ceramic coated all over, with the seller calling the finish “like glass (with) not one swirl, no marring, and no surface scratches.”
