[VIDEO] Driver of a Stolen C7 Corvette in California Arrested After 12 Minute Chase

More thoughtless drivers were captured on video in California this week.

Video from KCRA 3 viewer Donovan Baldwin shows a stolen yellow C7 Corvette speeding past his camera in a residential neighborhood in Placer County, with several law enforcement vehicles hot on his trail.

The car had been reported stolen out of Sacramento, but the Placer County Sheriff’s Office eventually found out that a juvenile passenger was onboard – making the alleged thief’s actions even more reprehensible.

The 12-minute, two-mile chase started around 8 p.m. Wednesday near Cook Riolo and PFE roads and finally came to an end when the Corvette struck spike strips that had been placed on the road in the area of Vineyard Road and Foothills Boulevard in Roseville.

The driver has been arrested, but his juvenile passenger was released.

  1. There are too many instances of innocent bystanders getting killed because of police chases. I prefer losing my Vette to the risk of seeing someone get killed.

  2. Yes, I lost my Uncle (Army, WW II Vet) and Aunt were in a head on collision with a Ellensburg, WA. teenager fleeing from the Police because of a traffic infraction. My aunt was consequently, decapitated and my young Cousin witness the whole event from the back seat.

    Many thanks,
    Ray
