They say that you come to the NCM Bash the first time for the cars, but you return for the people. As someone who has a ton of friends in the Corvette hobby, shows like the Bash and Corvettes at Carlisle give us a great opportunity to get together in person with people you may only see once or twice a year.

One of our good friends in the hobby is Mike Brink of the Brink of Speed YouTube Channel. Mike is an enthusiast who I think has been making great content lately, especially with his 2024 Corvette E-Ray. Some of our favorite videos of his were seeing the reactions of those who got to feel the launching power of the first AWD Corvette.

At this year’s NCM Bash, I decided to make the 775-mile drive from Tampa in my new E-Ray and it was the first time in 15 years coming to the National Corvette Museum that I drove my own Corvette. I finally got to park in the Corvette-only lot with all my friends for once, and I even took the girl back over to the Assembly Plant and where it all started. Having my E-Ray with me just made the whole weekend a little more enjoyable.

Since the E-Ray was at the Bash, Mike and I got together to film this feature on my E-Ray. Driving out back, we set up with the NCM’ Skydome in the background. During the conversation, I talked about my owner impressions of the E-Ray, as well as how good those Wheel Craft PVD Bright Chrome wheels look under the bright Kentucky sunshine. We talk about other how E-Ray owners and what it’s like owning the first AWD Corvette. Mike even breaks out the drone of some quick flyovers in this highly picturesque location.
