[PICS] First Look at the New VUP Engine Closeout Graphics for C8 Corvette Coupes

If you ever wondered why your C8 Coupe has those interesting indentions in the trim that surrounds your Corvette’s mighty V8 engine, we just got the answer.

Earlier this year we learned that the engine bays were getting dressed up with some new graphics. We already shared the Engine Specifications Plaque which is a sticker that is placed between the engine and trunk and shares the details of your Corvette’s power plant. This simple graphic is LPO SL9 and it costs just $95.00.

Now, thanks to our friend Rick ‘Corvette’ Conti and his Sunday show “Coffee with Conti“, we learned that GM is finally providing some photos of LPO VUP which adds two graphics to each side of your C8 Coupe’s engine bay. The photos were shared to dealers late last week and we admit that they look pretty good. So we went online to Chevrolet.com and confirmed that the VUP option is showing up both on the Configurator and Corvette Accessories page.

The graphics show a carbon fiber weave with a red accent line. On the left-hand side, the larger sticker showcases a C8 “silhouette” graphic, while the right side is just the carbon fiber weave with the red accent lines.

GM is charging $295 for the Engine Closeout Graphics when you order your Corvette, but they are slightly reduced at $275 per set when ordered through Chevrolet accessories.

Unfortunately, the graphics only feature a Red accent color which looks fine when matched with certain exterior colors, but we’re not so sure about pairing these with some of the others like Orange or Yellow. But if you have a red engine cover (Stingray, E-Ray) or red intakes (Z06), they look to be a perfect match. My guess is that now the aftermarket will catch up to offer different options on colors and logos.

On the Corvette Accessories page, the description shows that these graphics are made from durable materials to help withstand the weather elements. If you are doing the install yourself, the package includes four sheets of graphics plus a 3×4-inch plastic squeegee and instructions. These are for Coupes only as the Convertibles do not have those specific indentions where these graphics are placed. For those that want to shop around, the GM Part Number is 87822118.

In typical GM fashion, they also show a gray version of the graphics, but there is no way on that page that you can select the different colors. We reached out to some friends at Chevrolet and hope to have an answer back soon. This is when having Harlan’s company email was so helpful as we could expect a one-word answer back in minutes as was the usual case.

What are your thoughts on these Engine Closeout Graphics? We think that when paired with the carbon fiber trim panels and engine brace, these graphics really help to create a much more finished look to the engine bay instead of a surround of plain black plastic. Let us know your thoughts on this “stickers” option in the comments below.

  1. Looks pretty good and not too expensive. I already put Silver Flare slats and a silver engine cover in my coupe bay.
These black and red accents might be a good compliment.

  2. I ordered the Engine Closeout Graphics option with my 2025 Stingray Coupe and I love it! The valve covers are already red so I ordered the Edge Red engine cover and have added aftermarket red fluid caps, red access covers and red strut tower covers to complete the engine bay look with red accents. All this on a Riptide Blue Metallic car and I think it all looks great!

  3. I ordered the closeout graphics for my 2023 Z06. On the Chevrolet accessories page with the correct part number, it said it would not fit my vehicle. However, they are installed and fit fine. No installation issues. Since my car is Hypersonic Grey with red accents and red engine covers, they blend in and look great.

  4. Thanks for the link, I have the carbon fiber side panels and x brace, these will go really well with my red 2024 stingray.
Got a few rewards points too I used towards some credit, I used your link to purchase the decals, thank you again.
