Pratt Miller Motorsports has something special for Corvette Racing fans this week for the Twelve Hours of Sebring. This year, the two Corvette GTD-Pro racers are swapping their usual Yellow and Black livery for a special throwback livery featuring a White with Blue and Red accents design that is reminiscent of Greg Pickett’s winning C4 Corvette GTO in 1987 at the Detroit Grand Prix.
Pickett’s racing C4 Corvette was built back in the day by a company called Protofab which is where Gary Pratt was working prior to the start of Pratt Miller Motorsports. Former Corvette Racing crew chief Dan Binks had recently finished a complete restoration of the number 2 racer, where it was driven by Ron Fellows at the 2023 Rolex Monterey Motorsport Reunion.
Like Picket’s Number 2 C4 Corvette, the Pratt Miller Motorsports Corvette Z06 GT3Rs are wearing Arctic White with blue trim and red numbers. The cars are sponsored by Mobil 1 and features the iconic Pegasus logo. However, the team is keeping the roof and the rear in Black as shown in the 2025 livery reveal photos.
Greg Pickett and Ron Fellows are both featured in this video talking about the C4 Corvette racer, and then you get to see the new livery for the Z06 GT3R racers. It’s fun to hear from these legends of Corvette Racing tell their stories and we can’t wait to see these latest Corvettes add to that winning legacy.
In a release today from Corvette Racing, co-driver of the number 3 Corvette Antonio Garcia was asked about the new livery and he said the following, “I think it’s pretty cool to have different liveries. It feels strange not to see a Corvette painted in yellow. In traffic I don’t know if people will spot who we are! But it is very cool to have this Mobil 1 new livery. I didn’t get to see the actual car it was related to in real life. But when I get to see it at the track, it will be very cool. Hopefully we can get it to Victory Lane because that’s even better – a special livery there with some photos looks even better.”
